  1. I had this problem with mine as well. If this is what's happening to yours, rayb74, then it's probably fuse 14. It took me ages to work out, but mine was blowing whenever I opened the drivers door with the ignition on. Someone on here pointed out to me that it was probably a wire chafing in the gaitor into the drivers door... and that's what it was! I had to get the door cards off to find the break though, and then it was a tiny little bit of bare wire showing (a brown wire, i think), up by the door hinge. Hope this helps! :D Mike

    Koni/H&R's

Cool, thanks for that... I'll just have to wait and see what happens, then! The wheels are 16. I did think about getting some 15s but was worried they'd look tiny and make the gap under the arch look even worse! :D

    Koni/H&R's

Thanks for the input you lot! :D Nice to know that i'm probably just worrying about nothing. It's only been a couple of days, but I think the ride is pretty good. Certainly no less comfortable than my old standard setup was. Until I get the alignment and stuff done it's hard to tell 'cause the handling is so bad now!. I'll let you know what I think once it's all sorted! The thing i'm a little disappointed in is the amount it's actually lowered the car. I know it should only be about 3cm, but I don't think it looks any different to what it did before. Again, hopefully once they've settled in a little I'll be happier! :)

    Koni/H&R's

Hi all, Just a quick question - I've just had Koni TA's and H&R springs put on my '93 valver and find that even on the softest settings the front of the car is very firm. There is pretty much zero bounce/movement to it when I push down the front or sit on the bonnet. Is this how it should be? I'm always a little paranoid with my car and just want to be sure that it's right before I get the alignment and stuff sorted out! :D Thanks Mike

    Fuse 14 Woes!

I'm not sure if it was the best place to disconnect it, but it was under the bonnet towards the passenger side somewhere. It's hard to explain without being near the car, so unless someone else can explain properly, I'll try and take a pic tonight and circle it for you. And I think I figured out the fuse problem! :D I reckon it must blow when I open the door while the ignition is on! I realised that the only thing I do every morning is open my door to check I've parked within the white lines! But now I've run out of spare fuses to check for certain, though. So I'm gonna get some more fuses tonight, disconnect the courtesy light switch and see what happens. I really hope this is it because it's been doing my head in for months! I feel like an idiot for not realising sooner! Mike

    Fuse 14 Woes!

It's a 1993 (late interior) 16v 2.0 rhd. And yeah, I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure that sometimes it happens after the ignition is switched off. Thanks for the info, RW1... Another thing is that sometimes there is this constant clicking sound behind the dash just to the left of the steering wheel somewhere. It kinda sounds like 'Clip-Clop - pause - clip-clop, etc' :D . Could this be anything to do with it? This also happens both when the ignition is on and off. Cheers, Mike

    Fuse 14 Woes!

Help me, please :( ! Fuse number 14 (does the windows when the door is closed, reverse lights and washer-jet heaters) keeps on blowing. The most annoying thing is that I can't seem to trace the problem to anything. It blows pretty much every day... Sometimes i'll check it before I drive somewhere, and it's blown by the time I get there... Other times I'll check it just before I get out and lock up the car, and by the time I get back it's blown again! I've tried not using the windows, disconnecting the reverse light switch and disconnecting the washer-jet heaters, but have had no luck. Does anyone have any ideas? Is anything else on that same fuse? Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated! It's driving me crazy! Cheers, Mike
  8. Yeah, there were faint gunshots all morning so someone must've been hunting them a few miles away. It was probably took a hit, flew a few miles, then just gave up and dropped out of the sky. Somehow managed to squeeze between the white car in the pic (which was about 2 foot away and hit mine square on. What're the odds? :D
  9. And here's some pics from just after I bought it. A small drop is planned for it soon, and I'm not too keen on the wheels, but here y'go. 8)
  10. Okay then... I bought the C back in May (off someone on here) and for weeks and weeks I've been telling myself to go somewhere nice and take some good pictures of it so that I can introduce myself! Anyways, I've just had a shiny new exhaust put on, so I decided I'd definately go and get those photos done on Sunday (of the weekend just gone). Sunday morning comes - I'm woken up by a loud bang outside. I go out to see what happened, only to find this on my driveway... Feckin' birds! Oh, and hello everybody! :)
