  1. OK cool. Glasgow hey....... I will keep an eye. For the right car, it's worth travelling.
  2. Having not owned a Corrado for a couple of years now I'm starting to get serious withdrawl symptoms....My mk2 golf keeps me from going mental, (as my daily shitter is an Escort van!) but I really need to get back to Corrado ownership. It's probably the only car in the world, that if one passes the other way on the road, I let out a little squeal of excitement! Anyway.... I previously had two KR valvers, and got to know all about them, through one problem or another, had the use for quite a while of a G60, and got to know a little about those, but I know nothing about VR6's at all. I've really got my heart on a VR, (hopefully a Blackberry one, I love that colour!) and will probably spend enough to get a totally solid example, as I will want to keep it for as long as I can. Obviously the bodywork speaks for itself, as does all the usual checks that apply to any car really, but I'm clueless when it comes to the VR engines. Can someone give me some pointers on what to check, engine-wise, on a VR. All I really understand is that the chains need to be done on the high-milers, but not much else. I have no problem buying a high miler, as long as the right things have been done at the right time. What else should have been done on a higher mileage car, or any VR for that matter? And whats the difference between OBD1 and 2? Cheers.
  3. ahhhh the sweet smell of ignorance  (thats to the actual poster btw) :) i know, my mate is another one of these jap-crap loving blokes whose ideal car is a subaru or a skyline. no idea why he posted that!
  4. SORRY! I never wrote that! i left my computer on this page and my mate must have posted that message--- ignore that statement!!!
  5. vr6 is def gonna lose! What planet r u on?
  6. you know what i mean. i like wheels with fat spokes on corrado's. don't like skinny 5-spokes etc, don't think they suit the lines of the car
  7. i like them! unique, and chubby. i like chubby wheels on a rado

    Driver Door Handle

this mite seem weird..... but i've undone these screws on a number of cars and not had any problems.... then one day i had to undo it on the drivers door of my mates k-plate g60. the effin thing would not move. i tried for ages, bent a couple of screwdrivers and everything, then, i realised i had to screw it the other way! for some reason i had to screw it clockwise, as if doing it up, and it undid itself. why i don't know! the passenger one was totally normal. Try that! if not fully lubricate it with wd40 and try mole grips on it.
  9. your isv could be knackered, they don't usually respond well to cleaning although it can help. revs bouncing around at 500 to 1000 rpm.... are you sure it's set up right? could be running lean? try removing and cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner and see how you get on then
  10. Sorry dude have to agree, it's gonna be hard for you to get that power down.
  11. make sure all the vacuum hoses are connected and not spilt as flusted said. there are a couple of little shit hoses that run from the airbox to the underneath side of the air intake just before the throttle body, they always came loose on my old valver, so check them. the vacuum hose that runs from the bottom of the airbox across to the isv can get ripped on the alternator belt, as has happened to me before, so turn it over and look at the back and make sure it's ok. otherwise it's possible it's the isv. buy new, as they do go wrong, but from gsf, as they're miles cheaper.
  12. cheers dude! thought it would be simple, but i've learnt it's better to find out what i need to do before i touch anything, otherwise it's a trip to the scrapyard to pick up replacements for the parts i broke
