thanks, I will do that. Now the shocks / springs are on I can see there is no chance of the wheels rubbing out. Feels so much better to drive now!
-
just phoned raceland, they only recondition avo shocks.
-
my coilovers are made by raceland, i have heard these are not great, is this true? i am still debating whether to recondition them or not.

I just put koni ta's and H+R springs on my corrado, can anyone tell me the best settings for the shocks or is it just personal taste? Will they rub on the softest setting ( I have 17"s on at the moment).
-
I guess i will stick it on ebay or in the autotrader.

Hi, Not sure if I have posted this in the right section but.... does anyone have an idea what H3T VW is worth, my mate said he thought it was for sale on the forum a few months ago.
-
how long did they last between rebuilds?
-
I will do that, thanks for your help guys.

Thats the thing, I bought the car with them on and cant find any paperwork for them. Would i have to send them to the original manufacturer or are there independant people who do this? Depending on cost this would be preferable to me then putting shocks on and springs on.

yeah its been leaking for a while by the looks of it but it bounces like a fat bird on a pogo stick at the moment so I have got to replace them.
-
Thanks mate, will do that.

Hi guys, hope you can help, after much advice I have decided that my blown coilovers are to be replaced with koni shocks and H+R springs. As I have coilovers on there at the moment and not standard shocks and springs are there any other parts I need to be ordering to convert back to the shocks and springs set up?

My mate bought one for his corrado but the fixings are completely different so it just twisted on the shaft everytime he changed gear. I dont know if they come apart but you will need the fixings from the golf gear shaft as well, all sounds like a bit too much grief to me.

I would say to anyone without a VT mount, get one, when my standard mount went on my previous vr6, i ruined the bonnet, the engine mount bracket and the oil coiler. The car also drove so much better after the VT was fitted.
