Hi bcstudent - the one i changed was #3 in the picture but got it from an audi 80 2.0 16v in the scrapyard as it also has 9a engine so afraid i cant help with a part number.

Problem fixed - was coolant temp sensor - thanks for pointing me in the right direction Gavin.

Engine has developed running fault (2.0 16V).When engine is cold it will not rev and sounds like it is down to about 2 cylinders and cuts out but when it reaches normal operating temperature i.e oil temp on mfa reads over 86 and water temp gauge gets to about half the car runs perfect - any ideas ?

thanks for the comments guys - been cleaning the interior with that turtlewax foam aerosol tin with the brush on top - looks even better now as i have done it again since last pictures were taken - cant make up my mind now to modify or keep standard ???

well its a 92 on the J plate, its done 153k miles with service history up to 120k (quite kooshtie) was needin a really thorough clean wen i purchased it just 2 n a half weeks ago (especially the interior) just needs a new exhaust then its ready for its MOT heres how the interior did look this is how it is half clean, its even cleaner than this now but i havn't got round 2 gettin new pictures of it yet! will post up some more pics 2morrow with the before cleanin and after of the exterior (needed a full t-cut and polish) exterior half clean
