Hi Donjon, I have a pair of front Seats that have been in storage. Have you found a set yet? Located in Leeds, not sure if that's too far for you?

I used to have this fitted to my G60. Mine was a 92 later model. I actually have it for sale if your interested. Its the 4-2-1 manifold, it sounded what I can only describe as fantastic. I believe it was the 2.5 off my head but I'm not sure now. I had this along with FMIC, and all the usual mods, but I put it on with a few other things. I know it flowed very well. Mine also has the slot for the lambda sensor.

Haven't been on in a while just came to post pictures but looks like I've been beat to it! Your right about the bowden cables, I have no worry about them breaking either if I get new ones so I guess I'll do that! Hope you get everything working in your dash! Seems I'm having problems with the fog lights now after I plugged the loom in :\ Did you manage to wire in the late window adjustor or have you got an entire loom. The loom which I got was already chopped so I just have the end connector and the old wires to go by. nightmare!
-
its the bowden cables I'm having a problem with, I guess I'll just have to shell out for new ones. You want me to take a pic of the new connectors and wireing?
-
Did you have any luck with this? I've just been looking again. Managed to get some bowden cables from a mk3 and some of them fit. just need to find another broke mk3 as it seems noone will send you or give you the bowden cables from a late car!
-
I have also in the middle of doing this. I have only just sourced the heater silder wires though, as for the wires, I just replaced the loom, I can show you where about it is if you guys want, its really easy to find. Passenger side about shin hight without the dash shell. its easy enough to trace back.

:thumbleft: that car is awome! I love it! everything about it is awsome!
-
honestly if you have that kind of money why buy one that is in great need of work? but a good one... and then you can get down to those fine details and be overjoyed with the car This Corrado has a great spec, is stupidly cheap for what you get for your money too! you don't waste you money on mods as some are done, still the ability to tune up more, spend the money on the mentioned body work! Even when you buy this car and have to get the chager done theres 400... so effectively a £2000 car anyway, which will probably need more work doing to it anyway as the most important part hasn't been touched. Its a no brainer
-
Ok my car is the one in question, and theres nothing wrong with the back of these switches, technically the back of switch boxes are made up of metal thats covered... just as a spade connector is itself. Now I'm not saying at all do this it works etc. Not at all. And it is a tempory measure. As for not buying the £50 loom... well you may slate that all you wish but the guy wouldn't post it and it was a fair drive from me and in total would have cost around £100 including petrol. Now being a student holding down two jobs for the car this is the biggest waste of money for two tiny little bits of plastic which in my fair opinion are not even worth a couple of pounds, I'm looking for people breaking VR's and now at the back of CD player connectors as they have the same kind of thing in hope one maybe the right size or can be slightly adjusted. Everything is insulated and labels are on each wire with their positioning. I know it isn't the "right way to do it" but it works for now... and as I have said it is a tempory measure.

When doing this me and Chris (Shilakadaddy) just soldered the early wires to the wires on the back of the new switch, they're all the same colour. Its easy enough to do.
-
Heres me... :)
-
I will be at the S5 meet indeed! are you coming along? Chris (Shilakadaddy) should be coming too, we've also just got another G60 in Black... not sure if the old owner may have been on here as its modded already. I keep telling him to come on here. complete with new fog lamps, and you are so right about the wallet battering... my eyes nearly fell out when I looked at the price for just the fog lens from VW! And as for petrol... well I though mine was bad! The colour isn't right at all at the moment its been tortured by the sun... then bonnet's been sprayed and the wings blended but if you look at the pillars you can so tell... been trying all sorts to bring it back up! happy with it so far though... just need to get my ass in gear and sort out the rear calipers!
