  1. Ok guys, the bumpstops have been cut by 40mm on the back which gives about 3mm bumpstop clearance on one side and is just bang on the other.

    BUT!

The side with 3mm clearance is sitting slightly lower than the otherside.

    AND GUESS WHAT?

The car now pulls to the left. Doh! Which is the side that sits higher.

    Any ideas ?????

    Ah the joys of modding.

  2. Hi Guys

I'm having my bumpstops cut tomorrow and just want to double check the amounts to remove again.

From reading the forum (cheers supercharged) I gather that 30-40mm off the back is good.

But I can't find the amount for the front ones. I'm guessing to chop off the top rib but would like to hear what others have done?? :)

Looking forward to any advice!

  3. Cheesr!

Unfortunately, the suspension kit has already been fitted by the garage.

Is it reasonable to ask them to re-do it.??? Surely they should have done this automatically. The rear of the car rides rather firm and bouncy and I suspect that it is due to the original length bumpstops!

I am in France so it's quite hard talking technical in froggy!

  4. When fitting a lowering suspension kit, what is the reason for chopping the bump stops down??

If you lower the car by 40mm, how much do you need to chop off OE bump stops. Should special ones be fitted?

    Thanx!

  5. Just wandered if there are any other Corrado holics in France, around Nice in particular? Are ther any French Corrado clubs.

I totally love my VR, I might have to go out for a christmas blast while the roads are quiet!

  6. Anyone know what it would cost to replace the rear axle bushes on a vr6?

Is the difference really that good?

    My car has done 65k.

I've just fitted new Weitec GT kit which is great and of course now I just want to keep moding!!!

    God I love my Rado.

Just picked up a mint golf mk1 GTI with only 70k genuine for £1100.

2 very different but very special cars.
