  1. Hello and welcome This is not your standard Mk1 Golf GTI........Conversion and noticeable difference is a 2 litre ABF 16v engine with a Cosworth Garrett T34 Turbo. I've decided to let my ultimate Mk1 Golf go as a project. Car is a '82 X reg Vehicle reg is NHM177X, originally a Golf C (still a Golf C on the V5c), 2 door in mars red. Body/Chassis 2 Door tin top model. The car has had a complete inside/out respray in metallic moonlightblau, colour is a grey with a very shuttle yellow tinge when the sun light reflects off her. All GENUINE PANELS with not welding carried out to any common rust prone areas. Spare wheel well also un-touched as you can see from the pictures. Some surface bubbling windscreen corner and around rear tow cover as show in link below. Overall, for a 34yr old mk1 this is a solid genuine panelled shell. All inner arches and all suspension legs and seat belt mounts are perfect All waist line stripe holes have been welded. Engine bay has been smoothed, from scuttle panel removed, battery tray removed, all extra holes welded and smoothed over, slam panel holes welded and smoothed. Rolled and flared all arches. Front and rear panels are genuine and have never been changed. Smoothed front wiper holes. Smoothed boot lid. All sills genuine with no rust. Car is rust free and has been waxed oiled and body shooted all under. Underside straight with not jacking dents or deformations. Green Glass all round (not windscreen), new window seals. Crystal M3 rear lights. Jetex shocks and springs. Non factory Glass sunroof. Comes with keys which works with the ignition barrel and door locks. Engine/Running Gear 2.0 ABF 16v Engine (only covered 61K~) I have the complete Mk3 dash, speedo (to prove mileage), undertrays etc. chromed front mount and starter motor. Ford Cosworth Turbo - Garrett T34 Turbo fully rebuilt (covered 100 miles), no shaft play all genuine. New Stainless Steel Tubular turbo manifold (flange needs to be changed to suit 16v head). The head has been ported and polished (see pictures) - from intake, exhaust ports and all cylinder pockets, Head has been professional skimmed. Knife edge porting to both inlet and exhaust ports. Cylinder pockets smoothed casting marks and polished. Valves to valve seats re-ground for air tight seal. I have new Schrick cams (260/276) installed. All new head gasket set, tensioners, cam belt and chain. I have New performance ARP head bolts, New twin standard head gasket. Gearbox - LSD 020 2y gearbox, installed all new oil seals and bushes, New Sachs racing clutch kit. New CV gaiters, wishbones, bushes & tie rods. New Polybushes - engine/gearbox mounts. Mk3 Servo and master cylinder, New Braided brake lines. Scirocco Late spec driveshafts. Rare front Audi 256mm 16v brakes, New zimmerman disc's and pagid racing pad's. Braided brake hoses. Chromed front mount and rear hatch locks. Interior Mk1 Complete dash, All wiring Mk1 and Mk3 16v. 300mm sports steering wheel. I was going for a race interior, so from the dashes and steering wheel that's all for the interior. History OEM handbook and manual, MOT's and V5C and keys. Stacks of history with before conversion, to receipts and docs for purchased parts, new and used. Bad bits Paint on the bonnet is flaking due to having the car under a cover not long after having her painted. Passenger side door has some scratches and a good wash to get her shining again. Some surface bubbling and chrome flaking. Overall, she would need turbo pipe work, plumbing, intercooler, fuelling/inlet, management system and wiring to get a supercar killer. Here are some states I would expect performance in the region of Peak Power 250bhp @6800revs, Peak Torque 230lbft @4400-5100, Peak Boost pressure 7psi. Target Torque is 270lbft over this range of 4400-5100 or more. This should result in peak output of 300bhp. A lot of work and effort has been put into this project and it's a shame I couldn't finish her off. I would like to see this project complete. Please make contact if you require any further information. Viewing highly recommended. With any questions please contact me on 07903865177. Will not split, and no offers, will keep auction running. No Tyre kicker or bidders with no feedback. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201907999089?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
