  1. Thanks for the advice and info, its actually for my Golf but I think I may be able to 'adapt' something. Mike
  2. I think the frame may be the same as mine which fits Audi 80 saloon, S2 coupe, Golf mk2 which have the same fittings as the Corrado. Where the centre slide/runner fits into the front fixing with the little nut/bolt the Recaro frame has 3 holes in it, you fit the bolt through the one that suits your height requirements. Probably about 1 1/2" adjustment. It won't alter the rear height. Its now 11pm and I'm not going out to measure right now but I think its about 5" high. I can measure tomorrow eve if you want to know. Mike
  3. If of any help....I've got a recaro seat that I originally bought for a Citroen Berlingo, I then (with new subframe) fitted it to my Audi 80 and now to my S2 coupe. The subframe has 3 heights seperate from the height adjustment on the seat, so can be mounted low, however the Corrado is extra low but I beleive it would be ok on the lowest setting, anyway the steering wheel adjusts for height. My Recaro is a taller seat than original seats so is closer to the roof but only by a couple of inches. Mike
  4. Oh dear!!!!! think you may be right. I'll put it down to age! Mike

  14. Not quite 105 (mid 40s) I bought the car as a runaround and have always wanted one. I have a '94 Volvo T5 (220bhp) estate for work, great for straights and overtaking but not so good around the bends! My wife has an Audi S2 coupe. Thats a good price for group 17 plus, insurance, mine cost me £260 TPFT with full no claims. Mike
  15. Is the 1.8 16v engine the same as the one used in the 16v Mk2 Golf? What about the gearbox? and engine mounts? cheers Mike
  16. Are you lot really the ages shown? Many seem very young to own a Corrado (ie. 18 to 25), are you insured, lol??? Mike
  17. Ordered new cylinder from GSF, is it just a case of undoing the two 13mm nuts and fluid line to remove? and a straightforward reversal plus bleed? cheers Mike

  20. I taxed it. Cost me a day, £25 train £30 fuel to get back. I probably wouldn't sell so soon for so little, its worth more than that to me. Just cant decide whether to start working on it or break. Tempted to do both!! if only.. Mike

    Indicators

Suddenly had the indicators stop yesterday, the green light on the dash stays on, no clicking and no outside lights visible, is it the flasher unit? If so where is it located? Also Which relay is for the headlights? Mike
  24. Cheers for quick replies. Body is faded and wheel arches well past their best as are the bottoms of the doors, ideally needs some new panels and respray. Drives nice and 17" alloys are good. Do love it but time and constant maintenance are not what I'm looking for. How much would a reasonable 126k mile engine be worth? The Recaro seats any ideas? I dont want to strip down and find I only sell a few bits coz I'll be ******** Ideally need to get more than £800 for all. Mike
