  1. Thanks. This may be the problem...but can't seem to be able to see the alarm siren...Where is it??? :( Ta.
  2. So here we go with some gen... Car had 2 VW service history books filled in. Managed to get most invoices sent from Vindis who did all the work from new. Head gasket, chain and tensioners done at 210k Clutch at 257k It's had a history of coolant loss, heater matrix changed, carpet stained a bit green, but doesn't lose fluid now. I've had to change a few bits and bobs....rear disks/pads & front pads, & try to sort out slight miss-fire. Can't work out why the alarm works (closure & sensors) but the siren not working. Any ideas? Interior come up fine with some elbow grease. Will try to include pics. Cost me £2k, spent probably £800 on parts & help with miss-fire. Harry
  3. Chaps, What a top bunch of blokes, for all your comments and welcomes. The storm's probably in the rough, but not really rough, and as for the shed?? I must have low standards. So I'll be the geezer posting the weekly requests for help as it breaks down and recommending to people to go for the minter, not a 'bargain'. I'll stick my current car on the cars for sale. Harry, the bloke with the shed.
  4. Gents, Great responses chaps, thanks. It's done a ridiculous 300k+, but then cost bugger all. Anyone willing to venture a guess of demand for a 1990, 18v, 116k 2 anoraky owners from new, history etc?
  5. Hi folks, So I've just put a deposit on a Storm, after many years on a 16V. It all look genuine, but the log book just says VR6. How do I prove it's a Storm?? Ta for any help.
