Hi all, Last Saturday, I found a worthy owner that I was satisfied with looking after my Corrado from now on....this was after turning a few tyre-kicking, paint-licking test-pilots away about 18 months ago. Thanks R & E (you know who you are). Since I only put the ad for the car up here, I know they are forum-users and hope they receive all the fantastic support which I have over the past 8 years of ownership. Before you say it...I will be back when I'm allowed a third car ! I will continue to give a 'headlight wave' to all of you - whatever I may be driving in the future ! Simply and sincerely - thank you very much to everyone.

Location: Cardiff, Wales Price: 3495.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 28th Jan 2012 Description: This car is a fine example of the Corrado VR6. I have cared for and enjoyed her for 8 years and would love to keep her, but the arrival of a second child and a dog forces a change to an estate car. Recently had the heater matrix and radiator changed. These can both be fairly expensive jobs due to labour costs. Lots more detail evidenced by looking at the picture gallery at: http://s1072.photobucket.com/albums/w366/davidcorrado/ Miles: 99K (used daily) Interior: Black leather (superb condition) ICE: Upgraded to MP3/CD player and new rear speakers Service: Full history (see picture gallery) Maintenance: Huge pile of paperwork (see picture gallery) VERY LONG MOT: Expires December 28th, 2012 Electrics: Everything works - including tilt/slide sunroof, ABS and rear spoiler Colour: Blue Tyres: All fairly new having only covered a few thousand miles each Looking for around £3,495, but will accept any reasonable offers. The car is in exceptional condition with low mileage and very comprehensive, fully documented service history. Thanks, David. Please call or text my mobile: [Removed by OP]. (or PM me if you'd prefer)

I live in Cardiff and will likely be putting my car up for sale very shortly. Managed to avoid it 'till now, but will need a large family estate... thinking Volvo V70.

Hey thier Iv seen this car about too, I saw it from my Green vr6 Corrado at the same time!!! This may well be me - I pass this way at about 08:00 (in to town) and 16:15 (out of town) every day.

All's well that ends well... Local mechanic replaced the heater matrix - £250.00 all in (including labour, matrix and coolant.) He reckoned there was no chance of doing it without removing the dash though. He showed me the state of the one that came out - completely wrecked. Completely changed the smell in the car when blowers are on, but I have noticed the running temperature has increased slightly. Thanks for your advice guys, and in particular for Vince @ Stealth's expertise too. Cheers.

Excellent feedback on the Valeo matrix - thanks. Can someone offer me the reasons why I shouldn't attempt a Radweld fix? It worked as a permanent fix on my old car years ago, but I don't want to wreck my Corrado.
-
I have ordered a Valeo one, since my local VW told me that the very original ones were no longer being manufactured, and that they were to use one of these anyway. Are there different Valeo ones available? I thought £30 sounded very reasonable from ECP. Finally, why not try Radweld? I have to admit it got me out of a hole with another car in the past and am tempted to try the Premium version. My local mechanic also told me to give it a try, but also admitted that my Corrado is the only one he's ever worked with and to come here to take experienced advice too.

ECP one is Valeo, £30 all in. Can anyone confirm my symptoms indicate that it's the matrix? Also, is Radweld worth a punt?
-
I think my heater matrix is knackered - Got a steam blast through the vents when I turned on the heater yesterday, would this confirm my thoughts? Has anyone had any success with replacing it without moving the dash - a la Corrado wiki method? Also, is the Eurocarpart the best option as a replacement please? Thanks for your support in advance all - Cheers.

Hi chaps, The car mat fixings in my car no longer remain "screwed" into the carpet, and therefore, the mats move around occasionally. Annoying. Are there new fixings I can buy to solve this or is there something else I can do? My local stealers GAVE me a set of the new fixings that fit into Golfs, but they don't fit throught the eyes of the Corrado mats :( Advice welcome.

Mine has the Winter Pack installed. Headlamp washers seem to be the only addition.
-
I should say that they mentioned that the pads were approaching the "limit marker" - I only do about 4000 miles/year - should I change them? Anyone able to give what would be a reasonable cost would be a help thx in advance.
-
VW just made a mistake and did a full service rather than a lube - charged me for the latter. Shame ! Unfortunatley, there were a few recommendations: 1 Change rear brake pads 2 Brake Fluid & Anti Freeze change 3 ABS Sensor change 4 New door panel (internal) (5 Change centre exhaust piece due to damaged bracket) What would be a reasonable charge for doing all of this? (I don't think I'll be doing doing #5) Cheers in anticipation :)

Met a high up VW chappie at work today. When we got chatting about my Corrado VR6, he pointed this out to me: http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new_cars/concept/iroc Could be interesting since he said they would be putting some nice engines in them in addition to the ones mentioned on the website.
