Hi, Just replaced my matrix. Started noticing it when water level started to drop and finally steam and coolant smells started to come through the instrument panel. Rear carpet got soaked, I know it's from the matrix because of the filmy coolant solution. Sorted now but expensive, parts Ok'ish just the labour to take the whole dashboard off etc.

Hi, Just looked at the threads to do with the air con and hope someone can help. I've got a Diavia set up in my VR6 and the air con only sometimes kicks in. When it's playing up, the revs do not drop after I depress the button. As mentioned in the threads, are the relays the first point of check? Thanks

Hi - I have an after market Diavia aircon set up in my VR6. Had it re-gassed and when it switches on, it blows very cold and it's great. Problem is, the air con does not always kick-in when I switch it on. Does anyone know or can suggest where I might look for the problem. It is quite erratic, I would say 75% of the time it works fine. Thanks

Got my car back from the dealer today. It involved ordering a wiring diagram, replacing some sensors, tracing a wiring fault to the housing and others. This is not to mention the other bits and pieces that Vagcom pointed to and were ordered and replaced but were not the actual problem. ABS appears to be fine now.

Hi - I have the same symptoms on my car and it has been into VW a number of times - in fact it's still there. Have a sad feeling the knowledge about the Corrado has long left this particular garage. Unfortunately, I can't say there is a particular pattern to when my lights comes on. If and if VW sort this out I will pass on their fault report. Thanks

Got the same problem- think it's one of the two hoses that has the leak. Leak not too apparent but the smell is pointing to it. Generally the advice I am picking up is that I should go for VW's own but are they really about £40 each. Has anyone used some supplied by GSF or Eurocarparts. Thanks

Update- per Vagcom, two switches have been changed- one pointing at a brake pedal switch and another at the accelerator switch. Guess what - ABS warning light still comes on. The garage where I bought the car is taking the car to VW for the third time and it will be interesting to see what they say. I will pass on what I find out.

Thanks for the response. One of the first things I tried. Alarm is quite old now and no prospect of spare parts. Think I have to invest in a new one.

Hi - I have a conlog alarm (with total closure) on my car. Last few days it has been erractic with 2-3 attempts to get the central locking to unlock. Now the alarm does not work and the yellow and red leds on the dash don't light up. I have searched through various threads but can't see anything like the problem I have. I changed the fob battery some weeks ago and no problem. Today I have disconnected/reconnected the car battery with no joy. Note, my car battery did go dead this morning. After charging up, the car started fine but surprisingly I do not have to override the immobiliser - strange. The central locking works OK with the key. Any ideas??? Thanks

Just passing on some info... even though problem persists. As recommended, had another Vagcom check which pointed the finger at a brake pedal switch, got this changed and guess what - ABS warning light still comes on though no apparent pattern or timing. Would you suggest another Vagcom check in case another problem shows up. Did 100 mile trip today and no sign of the light coming on. Has anyone had the same reading only for the problem to be something else? Thanks

Hi, I am experiencing the leak problem from the scuttle area. Seal has perished at the bottom of the air intake basket cover and needs replacing. Any suggestions? Silicone replacement or other? Thanks
