Its a fucking outrage. Anywhere between Wandworth and Brixton the roads look like they've been carpet bombed:mad: But thats a whole other thread. Anyways i hit this pot hole with the front left in my VR6 and now under medium heavy acceleration or braking theres a knocking/clunk sound. What have done. My intuition tells me it might be the anti-roll bar. If not what else could it be. Is there anyway i can diagnose this myself. Iv got quite a small amout of mechinical nous but im not sure what im looking for. Any help would be really appreciated. cheers

Thing is the characteristics arent the same as when the ISV went on my 16v. Iv only had the VR6 a few weeks so im still really 'green' technically. After a fairly rapid drive home i almost ran out of juice. That when it started. I not sure which may of caused the problem, the high revs from the drive :oops: or the fact that the car was on fumes. But it stared idleing between 1000 and 1500 but really rapidly, like i was tapping the accerator twice a second. Quick bursts of revs every second and then moments after it will then cut out. It then refuses to idle. both these problems occur seperately. Either its revving in these short bursts or it wont idle at all. It means everytime i come to the lights i have to heel and toe, sort of, to keep the engine ticking over. any ideas.

Iv got a 1994 VR6. When im driving every now and again the ABS light comes on and the ABS stops working. The car brakes fine but will lock up under heavy braking. Theres no regular pattern to this. The light will come for a period of time and then go off. If i switch the engine off and then restart it the light goes out and the ABS comes back on again. Then after a while the light will come back on again and after a further period of time will go back off and so on....... Has anyone else had the same problem ?

Happens fairly frequently. Ill accelerate and the needle wont respond for a few seconds or it stick at a given speed and then a couple of mins later move again andthen stick at another speed. :?: Anybody had this problem ? Cheers guys

cheers chaps. The induction will be the last thing i do. Ill guess ill look at a bigger set of discs first.

What do you guys recommend. I wanna geta decent set of front discs that arent going to overheat or give me any brake fade. What you recomend. What sort of £££ am ilooking at. Cheers all

Thanks Jim. 8) Well, £500 is whats left in the pot now :( . Im quite happy to wait a while and save the penny's. What induction would you recommend? What sort of £££ am i looking at. Is this something i can fit myself ( well i say myself; what i mean is iv got a good mate who is a experience corrado mechanic :) ) or should i got to a Vdub specialist. Cheers

Alright guys. So, i just purchased my first VR6. Iv only had it couple of couple days. I f*cking love it. Im start to think about some sensible power upgrades to get me started but im pretty green round the gills when it comes to knowing what i can do with it. Where would you guys advise i start . i reckon initially i can afford about £400-£500 to start with. Any sound advice would be greatly appreciated. 8)

i registered a while ago but have only just got my internet back online. So im starting here afresh. So just wanted to stick my head round the door and say hello to everyone. The main reason is iv just purchased my first VR6 !! ( Its that really dark purple/blue metallic - not sure what the actual colour is called ) Me today ------> :D x100. I hope to pick all of your brains about any Corrado events in 2007 and some basic power modifications. Hope you all had a blinding xmas ! Once iv sussed my digital camera ill post up some pics. (Iv got a 1990 16v in Mallard red that iv neglected for a while and needs of lots of TLC. Ill be posting that up in the for sale section soon once iv got some pics. I also need to make a list of all the bits that are wrong with it cos she needs to go to someone mechanically minded who might want to take her on as a project.)
