Ha yeah I know I like to keep an eye on what is happening on the forums!! Go through phases of which ones I look on. Don't know about the G60 yet need to see what I am going to do with buying a house. If I buy a house will get a raddo if not will do a few more mods to the A4. All depends on what my mate decides he wants to do as I cant afford to buy a flat on my own. Will need to come and see yours and your mates though to see what they are like.

Pretty good going after 7 months. My mates brother had a Cav V6 and it sat around for about a year and when we started it it was tappety as hell. Anymore trips to the ring planned? No dirty jokes please!

How many miles is too many for a G60 and a VR6?
soupie69uk replied to soupie69uk's topic in Engine Bay
Yeah may take you up on that offer!! I can never make the meets now as they are on tuesday night and I work. I dunno if I will get a corrado or not just may be buying a flat with a mate so would want a cheaper car. But my mate is changing his mind I think about living in town. Fool that he is!! Ha! -
Just been looking at some for sale and most are 100k+ which I am sure is still alright but how much over 100k would you say is safe for both G60's and VR6's?
-
Cool thanks for the info mate. Guess not that many people have done this mod?
-
Looks great, love that colour to. Not too keen on the wheels tbh but other than that sweet car. Great buy.

Hi guys what size are the standard ARB's on the G60? Have many of you uprated them? If so to what size and make ones? Cheers.
-
So the best mods engine wise are. Remap, 68mm pulley, stage 4 charger, oil cooler, manifold/decat/stainless system, fmic. Anything else i have missed? How much would these bits and bobs cost?
-
They sound mega with an induction kit fitted!!

How reliable has your G60 Corrado been?
soupie69uk replied to soupie69uk's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah that would be superb mate!! You have done a few mods to so would be nice to see those to. I am pretty busy till Feb as I have exams at uni coming up soon and a friend back on leave from Afghanistan staying with me. That ok with you? -
Oh bugger. I would be worrying about that now as my old pug 309 GTI's sunroof leaked.
-
Ok cool. Cheers for the info. Has anyones sunroof ever leaked.
-
Do some have sunroofs and some not? Some have central locking and some have remote central locking? What about aircon any come with that? Also what about electric windows they all come with those? Thats all I can think of at the moment if anyone has any others put them down please. Cheers. EDIT - Thought of another electric mirrors.

Yeah would quite like to have a better look at one to see what its like. Will be so different from my A4. I dont mind that though as will probably be more fun. Anyone in the Edinburgh area with a G60? -
How reliable has your G60 Corrado been?
soupie69uk replied to soupie69uk's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah I am thinking of buying a more expensive house and parking may be a nightmare so was thinking of selling my A4 and buying a Corrado as have always wanted one and will be cheaper. Thanks very much though guys for the info and if anyone else has anymore then keep it coming! -
I have fancied one of these for ages but always think they may be unreliable. Is there any truth in this? What problems have you guys had with yours and what are the worst things that can happen? Say the charger went how much is a rebuild for both standard and say uprated? Also how often does the charger service have to be done and whats the cost of this? Cheers guys.

Looks mint! Will be superb when you get the engine all sorted. You going to just keep it standard or do a few subtle mods? -
Just read the bit about the S3/TT bits. Really interesting read and good job at helping us understand the benifits and not only that but why these parts help. You certainly know your stuff, keep up the good work.

Next edinburgh meet ill take you out in my Vr6,then ill get my mate to take you out in his G60 which has just had a little bit of tinkering, his is faster but hes spent under 2K getn there, but anyway, best to get a spin so you can get a feel for it! Superb idea mate!! I forgot you had a VR as well now!!
-
Yeah like the A4 will keep it for day to day and get quite a few looks of older people who i think must be shocked at me bein only 21 and driving the A4. Got it when i was 19. Also like it cos its pretty tuneable.
-
Will not be for a while, think they are really cool though. Need to get a house bought this summer first. But i thought i would join the forum to try and learn a little about them. I know what i would want it to look like though!! What wheels are the wheels on this car? I Love them and like the Schmidt modernline splits.
-
Thanks very much for the comments guys.

Got a K04 turbo, decat, full stainless system, GFB DV, piperX, Star remap but need a new one for the K04. Has been RR'd at 161bhp at the wheels. Not bad for a quattro comes about 180bhp at the fly standard. Going to get a new ATP manifold and a fmic soon then leave it for a while them get another even bigger turbo and injectors.

Hi guys signed up yesterday. I am a big Corrado fan and after i buy a house i will probably try and get one as a project car. In the mean time this is what i drive. It has the 1.8T engine in it. Cheers, Paul.
-
Oh right sorry guys dont wanna start any heated debates. I do quite like forced induction engines as they get pretty good gains when tuned. Like my 1.8T A4. I know what you mean by the VR6 engines though as my dad has a Mk4 golf with 2.8 engine. Is very smooth and sounds nice. Cheers.
