Thanks Chris! That is when the previous owner bought it, i'd love to see the advert and photos from back then if you wouldn't mind digging them out?

Thanks Sean! Really pleased.

Thanks! Hoping to get a bit more involved on here this time around too...

Hi guys, After an absence of 8 years, I have re-joined the Corrado ownership club...and with what (I feel at least) is a fantastic example of a classic green Storm. Few pics below. Just 66k miles on the clock, as far as I know fully original other than KW coilovers and stereo upgrade. Has been fantastically looked after by previous owner Steve and I hope to continue that during my ownership. I want to enjoy driving her but will probably only add 2000 miles a year max. No real "plan" for her at this stage...but keen to get a few little niggles sorted out (e.g. dodgy fuel gauge) over the coming weeks. Hoping to attend the VW show in Leeds later this year, hopefully might bump into some of you there Cheers, Jack

New Corrado VR6 Storm Owner - How do you know a Storm is a Storm?
morgsVR6 replied to c0vert's topic in Newbies Hangout
The one I am looking at buying is green....so can't use the colour to confirm. Everything looks 100% legit, but would be nice to have some absolute certainty as I will be paying top £££ for it! -
New Corrado VR6 Storm Owner - How do you know a Storm is a Storm?

Hi, realise this is an old post, but I am currently looking to buy a storm and wanted to verify it was the genuine article, and VW milton keynes can see the L2140 GKAT5G code against the VIN, does this confirm it is a storm? -
Thanks for your comments guys, you'll be pleased to hear that I have decided to invest and keep my beloved C on the road. I have sourced a rebuilt engine, and as the car had a new clutch not so long ago then it should be in good shape once the work is completed. One other thought, whilst this work is being carried out, what other parts are worth replacing along the way? Also, are there any parts that should be replaced with performance rather than OEM parts? I am no mechanic and am taking advice from friends on this one, but opinions of you guys would be great. Cheers

Guys, Lost power on my 95 vr6 driving up the m40 at the weekend and was given (what I thought at the time to be) the bad news that head gasket had gone. I came to terms with this and arranged to have it sorted by a friend who is a VW mechanic. However, upon full inspection, the damage was far worse - head and pistons are shot. Further details about car: 95M VR6 Metallic Violet, full heated leather, everything works, bodywork in v good condiditon. New clutch and chains fitted 12 months ago. 128k on the clock. My questions: 1. Do I fix or do I break?! 2. If i fix I think I should get hold of a decent reconned engine, anyone know of anyone reputable who recons? 3. I paid £3k for the car 18 months ago, any rough estimates on what I would get for all the parts if I break it? Or if I sold as is? 4. Also, estimated potential value if I fitted a reconditioned engine?? Any answers to the above would be very much appreciated, I really want to keep my C on the road but don't want to go bankrupt in the process! Oh, and finally:         Jack

OK Cheers for that, I thought the wheels might look pretty good but thought the tyres would be too big What are you guys opinions generally on fitting these wheels on my c? Good idea/bad idea?!? Presumably some work would be required so be interested in whether you think it's worth the bother for these wheels??

Ive got a 95 vr6 thats been dropped 40mm all round Been offered a set of brock b2's size 17x8.5 et35 Does anyone know of top of their head if they will fit my C? They come with tyres size 225/45ZR17 - im thinking these will be too big?? These may seem like obvious questions but im new to the scene so would appreciate if anyone could set me straight! Cheers

Def helps, cheers Mike. Had the springs sat in the shed for weeks now, be nice to get them on!

I've got a 95 vr6 and got some lowering springs, went to have them fitted and was told theyre for the early corrado's that have got a different fitting or something. I've been told that you can replace a part on the front suspension that will allow these springs to fit. Does anyone know which part needs changing? I asked VW Dealer Parts and they don't know, so need to know exact parts to order. If anyone knows what I mean and could tell me what part I need I'd appreciate it as I cant return the springs.... Cheers
