ok thanks for your help. i'll check the fan switch and the other connector. Looks as through i'll have to get a new lambda probe (GSF have one for around £30) and find someone with a VAG-COM. can you buy a VAG-COM? might be worth it if there not too expensive?

thanks i have tried unplugging the lambda probe (with other everything else connected) and this made no difference, it was still very hesitant. also noticed that the fan dosnt come one when engine is hot (oil/water temp above 110deg), could it be a temp sensor?

can some one tell me what the electrical connector is for that is located on top of the air flow sensor/air filter box? i've disconected it and my very hesitent 16v works better when warm. It's a bit dodgy on start up through.

thanks that saves me from wasting my time finding my ramps and crawling under the car.....i take it there is only one connector on the rear engine mount, if not dont suppose anyone has a picture.... thanks again :D

Hi i have a 2.0l 16v corrado which has a problem.... :( it's really hesitant up to full throttle. when you accelerate at anything less than full throttle its really lumpy and it seems as if it want to go but something is holding it back. i've checked the spark plugs, all the leads and electrical conectors, the distributor cap, the air filter and there all ok. not sure if the timing is correct as its been moved and i cant find a mark on the fly wheel to set it. can anyone help... thanks
