Not to sure what you mean by the A and B pillars I'll have a look when I get into my car latter. Just checking which of the other items (for all posts) are avalible, bear with me.

It was the alarm some how it had got confused probably the low voltage, it looked like it was turned off but the car was immobilised. I disconnected the battery re-attached this must have re-set the alarm because it jump started first time. Cheers

Went to my car to drive home from work as usual to find that the radiator fan had been running all day which is usual as I hadn't driven it all day and the car was cool. The interior light was dim inside so I thought the fan had flattened my battery, I got someone to jump start it for me but the car wouldn't turn over in fact it didn't wouldnt make any sound at all. I gave up on this but as the battery now seemed to have charged alittle I tried to bump it but that didn't work either. It sounds to me like my alarm (cliford concept 50) is acting up apart from the bit about the fan Any ideas please I'm stuck at work.

I read that the milltek system is a CAT back exhaust, as my 1.8 16v doesn't have a cat does this mean it connects to the front box/section of the exhaust (where the cat goes on latter models) or directly on to the mainfold header pipe? need to know before I by it because my er... front box is shot.

Have you got a price?? Or a ball park figure???

Any ideas about what would be a good system to go for and what the cost might be. Also whats a standard price for a VAG system, don't want to get screwed by the garage if I go for that.

Just taken my 1.8 16v for an MOT and been told it needs the full exhaust replacing. Just wondered what my options are, been told I could get a non genuine one for £250 but is it worth it and what's a reasonable price for an VAG one. Or are there any other options.
