  1. Is there a way to test your mass air flow sensor?
  2. I had problems with overfuelling so i replaced my blue(water temp.) sensor and air intake sensor. Still had the same problem tho. Turns out the loop those sensors run on wasn't grounded properly so none of them worked properly. Ran a ground right off the brown wire going into blue sensor to the frame. Error messages went away, no more overfuelling, and car started reading water temp./air temp. properly. If your car starts overfuelling again check your error codes and look if anything is-open or short to ground. Hopefully its good to go now tho.
  3. I got an engine error code about my secondary air injection system-open or short to ground. Couldn't find anything in the service manual but in the wiring diagrams i found that its connected to a fuse. Sure enough i checked all my fuses and there was one fuse that was blown. So i replaced it. But i still had the same problem. Same blown fuse again. Thru trial and error i found out that its only blowing when i start the car. If i put the fuse in after i start the car it won't blow and the car runs fine. However, without a working fuse the car runs very choppy and will stop working now and again(usually when i'm in rush hour traffic). So needless to say i'd like to fix it. Any ideas?
  4. Is there an easy way to ground my ecu? I'm getting these crazy readings (-9 degrees Celsius) from water(blue) temp. sensor and my air intake sensor. I've replaced both of them and it's still reading the same. I was told to start by grounding my ecu and engine. I'm sure my engine is ground...now for the ecu. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Thank you. It's nice to see a good active corrado forum. Engine and ecu earths? I'm not familiar with that if you could explain to me what and how to do.
  6. 93 Volk Corrado VR6- Car broke down on me a month ago and i still can't figure it out. I ran a vag diagnostic on it and it shows no error messages. However, it shows my air intake temp. at -9 degrees Celsius and my coolant temp. at -49 degrees celsius. I replaced both sensors and its still not right. Oddly the water temp. reading changed to a slightly warmer temp. but still below freezing. I live in Florida and its summer and its hot so temp. reading is way way off. It refuses to start when everything is connected. If i disconnect both sensors giving me the faulty readings it will start but run/idle very poorly and shortly thereafter stall. I wouldn't make it a mile down the road. I've had the car 8 years and never had any issues with this type of thing before. I'm at the end of the road and hoping for some advice before i lose my mind.
