24v RADO

that's what thought they said the one i've got is fine but they need more info, i don't know why they don't have on there data base as a 4motion security setup , i've spent the last too weeks trying to sort this.

the thing is i don't have a cetificate, they know where the immobiliser came from but they want exact info.

i rang them and they said its ok until i got a letter in the post threntening to cancel my insurance.

does anybody know what the make and model of the immobiliser fitted to a 2001 golf 4Motion, i've got one on my corrado and my insurance company need to know or they will cancel my insurance.

i contacted my local VW dealer and he said he would get back to me, he didn't.

i looked on my MOT certificate as suggested by my insurance company but it isn’t there.

does anyone know where else i can look.

no, i bought it with a scratch and it's bugging me.

Car specific is better than a name.

yeah good point, i need my rear bumper spraying the cost of a plate would pay for that.

Are private plates a good idea, i've seen E2 ADO which i think looks good

but moving the number over is illegal and sticking screw caps all over the plate to try and spell something looks tacky.

good or bad what do you think?

i would prefer to get a plate about the car not to concerned about age,

something like 24v 2.8 rado ect

i've seen a good plate E2 ADO, but it is £600

i'm considering supercharging it but need to save some pennies first.

fitted an autobra today mainly for protection but it does look good.

i love the wheels and trying to make it my own will be difficult.any suggestions.

hi, I’m assuming you have seen my post on E38 so I won't go on about it.

I read some responses on the rado forum and generally they were all very positive, although when I said the car was the best in the world it was mealy an opinion and hope it didn't rile anyone too much.

but as complete car it is truly amazing and does look and drive like a new car, I’m sure when jay was building the car he could have gone down other avenues e.g. power and performance but it was more of a ‘factory finish’ route that was taken and as a complete package it must be up there with the best.

But that’s just my opinion..
