Hi I live in Chichester West Sussex and my local VW Dealer Peter Cooper are good aswell they even give you discount on showing yr CCGB Card and they also order first then pay when you collect so all down south are not bad.

Planning ahead my VR is coming up to the 100k mark and was wondering whats the most economical way is to replace engine. Is it to refurbish all the parts or purchase a reconditioned engine if so who are the recommended suppliers and what other parts should I replace.

I had some trouble before with emissions and it was caused by fitting an induction air filter. Once I returned it to the normal panel type and box it passed.

My oil cooler seals are seeping oil anyone changed them and what is the process.

Hi I have a Corado VR6 M Plate 1994 and want to find out whats wrong with my ABS as the light comes on. I know someone who has VAG.COM but don't know where to connect it into. Does anyone know where the diagnostic input is. What type of connector is it as i've read that there are two types. Cheers

How difficult is it to renew bushes on my 94 VR. Anyone renewed these and whats the routine.

I'm about to renew my wishbones both sides and all associated ball joints on my 1994 VR6. I've noticed though that the sump is in the way of one of the securing bolts. Has anyone changed these before and can give me some guidlines etc.

Hi Got a problem something is draining my battery after 2 days. Whats the best way to find out whats causings it. Someone told me that you can put an Amp meter in series with battery. Any advice would be welcome. Somebody has also told me about a kill switch.

Anyone changed Wishbones and balljoints and associated parts before looking for step by step guide. Only want to use OEM parts so been to VW for quote on parts looks like about £ 150 each side.

Yea I was on my way to Falklands had to stay there for a couple of days waiting for a HM Ship to sail south took two weeks. havn't seen one in the Falklands yet.

Has anyone replaced the tape around the cable harness in the engine compartment. Mine is all falling off going britle with age. I've tried insulating tape but when hot goes all soft. Is there proper tape you can get anywhere ie from the stealers. Want to replace it all as I've just had it steam cleaned. Or is there an alternative.

Hi Just had my 1994 VR Serviced and been told that my top mounts are worn and need changing because its an MOT failure. What OEM parts numbers do I need to change. Also where can I get the special tool for the top nut or what else can I use instead.

I've just bought the CD of EBAY for ETOS it's great only £4.99 for all the part numbers you can think of for all VW SEAT AUDI AND SKODA Just put VIN in and it find your model. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. On there. There is a part number for a repair kit for guide for the left and right sliders part numbers Left front 1HO 898 017A Right Front 1H0 898 018 A Can't wait to try it out at the stealers to see if the numbers are ok. Has anyone else got this CD on the forum.

Usual problem Sunroof broken at the weekend the slider broke. My contact at JMR has told me that there is a repair kit you can obtain so visited the stealers and mentioned it they told me you have to specify the parts you want. I've seen a part number on the forum VW 1HO 898 014A is this right if so what parts do you get with it. Can anyone confirm as sunroofs are as rare as rocking horse s!!!

Has anyone approached an Insurance company for a fixed amount if it ever happenes that your beloved corrado is written off. I believe the insurane company will only give you the book value if it is written off a shame if you paid £4500 for it and the insurance company will only give you £1500 for it. You then have to look for another one. Does anyone know of an insurance company who does this

Bit confused with what type of plugs to use for my VR Been on a web site Spark Plugs they say to use NGK BKR5EKU and have also been told that Boshe brought out a modified plug to overcome the high reving miss fire problem when the cars were first built it is the FGR8KQA. Which one is the best for the VR6 before I go and pay the hard cash for them. Also oil been on another website http://www.opieoils.co.uk good for both plugs and oils they recommend fully synthetic 5w 40 to use Silkolene Pro S or Motul 300v, but have also been told another good fully synthetic oil to use is TITAN Supersyn Plus. What are the members views before I go out and purchase.

I've a VR6 with 81k anyone used those injector cleaners the ones you add to the fuel. What are your thoughts.

Heard of them. What difference do they make if any as I've just fitted a new Miltek Exhaust myself took a while to get the fit just right but its fine now. Not to loud either. Was just wondering if fitting one would make a difference how much should I spend as well

I was wondering what is the maximum size wheel/tyre any size 17's or 18's you can fit to my Corrado VR6 1994 Somebody is offering me some wheels from a 350Z don't know what size they are yet just wondered if they would fit with adoptors. Any info would help.

Whats a B4/B5 Paasat when its around what year is that

Got a problem with my sunroof it only slides back in stages not smoothly but will tilt only with switch. Have tried it by the manual method with handle and it slids back but only if you click switch once which seems to unlock something. Could it be the motor. Has anyone any ideas. Have heard that the sunroof from a passat will fit is that true if so what year. Would also like to fit a glass top to let some light in if can't get it to work. Also had a leak in my roof when I bought the car someone didn't fit aerial right so it leaked and stained the roof lining where can I get a replacement asked VW but they don't do them any more.

No the exhaust hasn't any holes but at the moment I'll hang onto it, but will let know if I get rid. How good are the borge dampers
