Just purchased a Miltek Exhaust for my VR. Removed the old one from the car quite easy because at the moment refurbishing rear axle. When it came to fitting the new one rear and centre box went on fine all lined up to the hangers then it came to the link pipe, but it was to long by about 200mm/12". Contacted my supplier RIMSYLE in Kent who checked part number for model and year which was correct, they had never come across this before. They contacted Miltek who said that the Corrado VR's are fitted with two types of Cat a long and short version mine was the long version. They said it was the first time someone had mentioned this problem and would look into it for any future fits and hopefully would bring out two versions of the link pipe. In the meantime there answer was to cut the pipe to fit (about 24"). I have now done this and it fits fine. Has anyone come across this before.

Started the refurb of the rear axle on my VR on Friday all bolts undone easy until I got to the Brake Regulator what a pig the bolts were siezed had to saw one off, so now have to drill one out. While its off replacing the bushes getting my friendly garage JMR Littlehampton havn't the space to do it myself. While its off I'm replacing all the brake hoses with braided. Brake Regulator. Suspension Top Rubbers. Axle given a good clean may even repaint it. Also while its off I've purchased a Miltek Cat back exhaust to replace the standard thought it was time the original is still on the car (1994) While its off I'm thinking of replacing the dampers. I want to keep it standard anyone replaced them might try GSF any good or should I get them from the stealers. Any one replaced standard with standard.

Lamps is an engineer thing bulbs are things you put in the garden what do you mean by DDI Dials I,m new to this

I want to replace the dial lamp and upgrade them to blue type lamps. What are the best type to replace the lamps and who. Also if I disconnect the Speedo/Rev unit will it affect the recorded milage.

To ANDI ADMIN Thanks for sorting the problem out at last I can log on and at last show you all the bargin I got as I've only been a CORRADO OWNER FOR 2 MONTHS HOPEFULLY PIC WILL LOAD. Its only done 78k and loads of receipts from new and service book is all stamped up. My plans are now to keep it totaly standard and start to rebuild it from the bottom up starting by a stem clean first by JMR of littlehampton then remove rear axle and totaly renew all parts.

Todays the day 3 points and 60 quid for using mobile anybody been caught yet. Anyone put a hands free kit in to a corrado intrgrated or stand alone do you know of a good one. either type

I have an intermitent ABS light which comes on now and again but when I stop the car switch the ignition off and then start it again it come on as usual then goes of. I,ve been told that it could be the ABS sensors either dirty or on thier way out. Does anyone now how much these items are and where would you get the said item ie from the stealers. I've also been told that it could be dirty contact at the ABS Pump end.

Took the advise from the forum bought an early headlight glass (K PLATE)from scrapyard took it straight of the light to see if it fitted but found that early headlight glass does not fit late corrados (1994) they are the same shape but not so deep now have a glass for sale. Is anyone aware of this. Thought it was strange because there were extra letters on the front.

I was visiting a scrape yard the other day and could not believe it a corrado K plate looked like a G60 not much left of it though. Anyway on my VR M Plate I have a cracked headlight on the drivers side and there was one available as I know you can just change the glass my question to you all is will the glass from a K plate fit on an M Plate VR headlight also I have two cracked fog lights wheres the best place to get them from.

Where can I get a heated windscreen washer as mine is broken and also blocked tried everything still no joy. Just the time to have no washers and along with the rubbish wippers aswell.

Forgot to say the battery was for a VR6

Just bought a replacement battery hope its the right on its a Boshe Silver 62ah from German & Swedish. Is it the right one before I connect it. Has anyone else bought one.

Cheers for the info on what I need to replace my leaking fuel pipes on my VR only VW do them what a shame even tried German & Swedish I've gone and ordered you are right they are expensive £30 + vat each and £1.62 for the clips x 4 getting them on friday. Anyway thinking of doing it my self has anyone replaced them whats involved or is it to difficult for DIY havn't got a manual yet so a procedure would be useful does the fuel system need depresurizing.

If I was to get the parts myself is it a DIY job or do you think it needs to be done by a garage how difficult is it whats involved do you have to depressurise the fuel system any info useful.

I was looking under the bonnet like you do the other morning(cold) and to my horror I could smell fuel. It was seaping from what seems to be the pipes connected to the fuel rail at the front of the VR's engine left hand side. The engine was cold as well but when it started to get warm it seemed to stop. I'm new to the VR SORRY FOR BEING NOT VERY TECHNICAL have no information on it yet looking to get the manual soon. I had this same problem when I had a mk 3 gti it seems that the rubber pipe perishes and the only thing to do is replace the pipe with new. Anyone come across this before advise would be very useful and where do you get pipe or pipes from.

Hi all Just bought my VR and want to keep it completly standard It a 1994 with only 75k on the clock with loads of service history so the shocks must be nearing the end of their life. My question to all is whats involved what parts do I require and who are the best suppliers. Cheers all I could be asking lots more questions being a new owner watch this space.

Where can I get the bentley workshop manual from and how much is it.

Whats the normal cooling temp where should the needle be on the gauge and whats the normal operating temp for the oil also

Just come back from holiday after 5 days and went to start the VR and it was dead had to jump start. Just recently bought the car so dont know when it was changed last. What is the size of the battery which should be in it. What is the best make and type

At last I've finally found my Corrado VR6 took some time Went today to look at it and bought it and it was to good to miss. It's a 1994 VR Moonlight Blue Perl Effect with 75k on the clock full service history loads of receipts for services etc. Pick it up Thursday. can't wait just hope I'm not disappointed. Shall let you all know how it goes.

Whats the largest wheels you can put on the Corrado VR6. Sizes for tyres and wheels would be useful. I've seen one with 17" but just want to make sure they are the correct size for the car as I know standar siz is 15".

Anybody bought a car/corrado from T.C.S. they advertise on autotrader I believe they are located just of the M42 J11. What they like to deak with as they seem to have loads of Corrados in stock. Also what are volkscars like

Hi All was just wondering if we have a data base on the site for recommended insurance companies for non moded and moded corrados Can any one recommend one.

Anybody dealt with a good insurance company for moded Corrados/VW. It would be very useful if there was a list on the forum of companies that insure us. What do you think.
