I have a g60 brake set up with braided hoses, good discs and pads etc but i would want my abs to work so i assume i would have to change all that. If i did the conversion i would want to do it properly but i think it would just cost much.

O.K say i did go ahead with the conversion what i really wanted to know was what else would i need to fit the VR in? Would my gearbox match up? and what about the clocks? I know i would need the wiring loom, ECU and alternator. Is there anyone on here who has done the same conversion who could shred some light on this....Please. Oh yeah i would obviously need a new manifold but what about the rest of my exsaust? its a magnex with no cat.

I want to keep the car i drive, i've had it a few years now and spent lots of time and cash on it, it's just that i have hit a wall with the power i want more but theres not much else i can do.

What does it take apart from a good mechanic to fit fit a 2.9 VR into my 95 spec 2.0l 16v? what i mean is what else would i have to shell out on apart from the engine to make it go vrooomm?

I just tried it again on my lunch break it's noe not doing nothing not even any dash lights coming on so it might be the battery. I'll chuck in another battery at the weekend to see what happens.

My 95 rado has been laid up in the garage for 6 weeks, obviously the battery has run flat and she won't start i have tried using a jump pack but nothing happens only the alarm goes off intermitentley. Charged the battery up but still nothing, dash lights and indicators work etc but she will still not start just the alarm will go off again after trying to start the car. For some reason i can not the alarm off with the key fob. vw factory fitted alarm and toad immobilser. Any suggestions welcome.

O.K so i have a 2.0 16v which i assume has the 42mm manifold. In other peoples opinion what is best the 42mm or 50mm? and would the 50mm bolt straight on to my car?

Anyone fitted a set of front TT seats to there Rado? is it posible and would there be any chance of getting the rear bench to fit??? The front seats are heated so would i be able to utilise this as well?

Had a guy check out my ABS over the weekend. The two relays that the ABS system uses on my 2.0l 16v are 79 and 179 not the number 21 that has been mentioned before. The guy has told me that from when you turn on the ignition power goes to the ABS ecu but does not stay there. Dodgy ecu possibly? Any more ideas welcome. Really confused now.

My rado has all ready been lowererd but i want to go a touch lower front and back. How can i tell how low it is at the mo?

Which one is the power relay?

Took the plug off the top of the ecu and there was a ffew pins with slight corrosion cleaned them up and put it back now just have to change the o.s.r sennsor and hopefully i will have ABS breaking power for the first time since owning the car.
