Thanks for the information. I have a few questions about it. When you say the "VW Box", do you mean the gears and stuff in the transmission? Also, I didn't quite mean "stomp" it literally, I just mean you have to really push it to the floor to get it to shift. Also, if it's a leaking slave cylinder, what can fix taht? A new one? or new seals or something? I'm not quite sure what the slave cylinder is sorry. Also, what do you mean by these 2 statements: "too much movement in the engine", and "full bore changes"? Thanks again for all of your help.

Hey everyone. I've noticed that the transmission(I think) on my Corrado feels a bit "loose." For example, the shifts just don't feel as crisp as I would think they should. Also, sometimes it's a bit hard to get it to shift and/or downshift into certain gears, and you really have to slam the clutch to the floor to get it to shift. Is this a common issue seen in Corrados? Or is it something wrong with my car? If there most likely is something wrong, what could it be? Thanks for the help.

This the kind of anti-roll bar u referring to? -> http://www.neuspeed.com/products/produc ... o&p_id=262 Cheers I would guess it was http://www.neuspeed.com/products/produc ... o&p_id=710 - "anti-sway bar" US = "anti roll bar" UK. (The one you posted = "tie bar" US = "Strut brace" UK) I think.... Looks like that URL breaks the forum posting code somehow, you might have to cut & paste for it to work.... Ohh, okay thanks. Why can't they keep all these terms constant, good lord! I would suppose you can get the bars for cheaper though from other distributors, so I'll look around. Cheers.

My friend has a Civic with a 7" Pioneer DVD Player/Screen. They're supposed to be wired up to the e-brake, so that when you pull it, it will turn off....but you can also wire them up to a switch...which Circuit City(a popular US electronics store) did for him :D So now, whenever he sees a cop, he puts the switch to off and the screen displays "This function cannot be used while driving."

Oh okay, gotcha ;) That makes more sense. Is the Turn2 Cold-Air induction kit at turn2usa.com only available there? Or are there distributors that carry it for less? It seems like a really nice kit as it even provides instructions for relocation of the CC it appears! Cheers.
-
What's the carbon canister used for in the car? And any pictures of the CC setup? Would removing/relocating it result in an emissions(don't know what they're called in Europe) violations? What kind of pipe is used..or is it basically just like setting up a cold-air intake system? Cheers.
-
You only recommend fitting a new filter to the stock induction kit? Have any of you heard anything about Neuspeed's P-flo induction kits? They seem to be extremely popular over here in the states. Cheers.

oh okay. so either way, the engine is fine :D
-
Hmm, could you explain that? I'm not sure I understand, sorry.

Hey everyone. I just got a '92 C VR6 :D And I was wondering about a few things regarding modifications to be done to it. So far the things I would like to do include: -New wheels -New suspension(shocks/struts + springs) -Induction kit -Mods that add low-end torque I had a few questions regarding the mods. I'm interested in performing. First of all, any recommendations on the order I should have them done in? Secondly, any recommendations for Induction/intake kits? I live "on the other side of the pond" ;) but if there are Euro. co's that are willing to ship to the U.S. that's always a possibility. Finally, I was actually wondering, in general, what modifications help add low-end torque to C's? Thanks in advance for all help! Cheers guys!

Yeah, that's the thing. It doesn't have that engine cover...just a chrome-looking one with no mention of the model. But the engine itself looks identical. Cheers.

Hey everyone. I just got a '92 Corrado VR6 :D But I just have one question. The engine was swapped, at about 100k miles, with one that had 50k at that time. It was from another car with a VR6 engine(possibly a passat, or GTI?). I was just wondering if that's the same VR6 found in all the vr6 corrados? I'm almost positive it has to be..as nothing else would fit. It looks the same under the hood as all the rest of the vr6 C's I've seen, except it doesn't have the engine cover that says Corrado VR6 or whatever it says. Cheers guys.

Are these what you're all referring to? : http://www.autocarparts.com/part/242/212/ And then the rear pair obviously. Cheers.
-
Then also known as "shocks" or "shock absorbers" as well?
-
Sounds like just the setup I'm looking for. I've found the H&R Sport springs for around $180. What do the Koni dampers run? Any recommendations on where to purchase them? Also, are there other terms for dampers? I'm sort of new to this. Cheers guys.

Yes. From another U.S. state.

Hi everyone. I'm currently searching for C's to buy, and I've found a few possibilities, but some are quite far away. Most of the one's I've found were through AutoTrader. What do you guys think about having a car shipped to me, that I found from an AutoTrader(or similar thing) advertisement? Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Any opinions on purchasing C's, or even just cars in general, from eBay? I'm definitely considering it, as I've received sufficient information, pictures, and a VIN. All my questions have been answered well, and it seems like a good car. Anything to watch out for? Any past experiences? Any other advice? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
-
Alright, thanks for the advice. I'm sort of shying away from this now due to the long distance that the deal would have to be made over as well as these other issues. Cheers!

Oh yeah..and how hard it is to remove the first boost hose..? He claims "he doesn't have time" to do it.

How often should the supercharger on a G60 be rebuilt?
-
Hey everyone. I was possibly considering purchasing a C G60, as they seem to be much more in my price range, but I've noticed a lot of people talking about their superchargers needing to be rebuilt; and I had a few questions mainly on that topic. This is an ad for the car below that I was considering: 1991 Corrado G60 Mileage: 94,500 Miles Price: 4,500.00 US Dollars - Have All Service Records Suspension: Bilstein Sports, Neuspeed Springs Engine: SNS Sttage 5, 68mm Neuspeed pulley, wide cog belt, Wheels/Tires: Stock G60 aluminum wheels Exterior: Dark Emerald Green, some door dings but paint in e Stereo: Factory Interior: Gray Pleather interior, great shape, MKIV shift kn Other: Sunroof tilts Comments: This is one highly modded Corrado and clean Corrado for its age. It has a Stage 5-2 SNS chip, 68mm Neuspeed pulley, Neuspeed Cold Air Intake, Taylor 8mm racing wires, Bosch plugs, BahnBrenner wide cog belt, Bilstein Sport shocks, Neuspeed Springs, 5 speed (auto to 5 speed conversion professionally done), 90K mile service recently done including: new timing belt, BahBrenner cog belt, all other accessorie belts, new fuel filter, new cap, new rotor, new 8mm Taylor Racing Wires, New Bosch Sprak Plugs, etc. This car is has ALL major service professionally done, and is FAST, FAST, FAST. I asked him about the supercharger's condition and he said this: "The supercharger is pulls strong and is not rebuilt." I was wondering if any of the parts he has had replaced affect the supercharger and it's condition? Also, he bought the car from a man who owned it, and the automatic transmission went out, and the man didn't want to fix it, so this guy "bought it and converted it to a 5 speed." I don't know much about conversions like that, and I'm wondering if there is risk in such a thing as that? Thanks very much for all the help in advance. Cheers!
