  1. I still can't open my passenger door. Previously I thought it was a central locking problem - but I think that is working.

There is no tension on either the exterior handle or interior door release lever - so it feels like the rod may be broken.

Having stripped the other door down I can't see anyway to get to the mechanism without removing the door card - and you've guessed it, can't see how to remove the door card with the door shut!!!

It's been suggested to me that I need to hammer a screwdriver through the door skin! just below the door handle like a car thief!.

Anyone know if this will give me access and leverage to open the door? and can you get armour(?) plates for the corrado that I could use to cover the damage?

    Any thoughts?

  2. Mines a very tidy 16v in Dragon Green - a one owner low miles and bulk standard. I'm not going to do too much to it, need to put some decent music in it and I do think the wheels look a bit lost under the arches! Unfortunately!! the previous owner has recently put 4 new tyres on it! which lessens my arguements for changing the wheels right now!. First job will be to lavish it with Swissol.

  3. Thought I'd just say "Hi" having taken delivery of my first ever Corrado last week. It's a dragon green 16v M reg - one owner 77K - I'm very pleased with it.

I've always wanted one of these having had 13 Mk1 & 2 Scirocco's and at least 6 Golf GTI's - but a recent flow of company cars has meant I've missed out until now.

Immediate plans are for some decent Hi-Fi and a good set of wheels to fill those arches out a bit. Oh and rude not to get the cambelt changed!

Great site! - I'm sure I'll be on here a fair bit and look forward to some events!
