    Buying VR6

Thanks for those, much quicker that on GTI ha ha. It's been a nightmare getting this car. It's at a friend of mines who is a trader and he is storing it for somebody, the sale is agreed but we have lost the guys details and he has the log book. As I'm sure you all know the wait is a nightmare I just want the thing NOW. I've tried a couple of copper friends of mine if they can get the details through the reg and they can't help, so we've written to the DVLA but that could take for ever. If anyone has any ideas or can help (any dvla folks out there) that'd be great. I've also tried the service schedule and got the guy to go round the car looking for clues but no joy. As far as the car goes it's not pretty, it's an N reg VR6 thats been neglected, full history and 92K so mechanically I hope it's fine but out side it's got a few marks so some work needed but the price is good. Cheers again

    Buying VR6

Hi, new to the corrado game, just selling a mk3 16valve (in the ebay section...very cheap). I have a corrado VR6 lined up that is mine as long as it passes inspection. I know the usual things to be looking out for and Ive read the wikipedia page on buying them, just double checking there is anything else I need to check. I saw and started the car up at the weekend only had 2 mins to go around it, it started fine and no rattles (92k) the only concern was the amount of fumes coming out of the exhaust. It was a misty morning and it looked like condensation as it was dispersing quickly, certainly not smoke, and the car has not been driven in a month or two. Does this sound normal? thanks in advance and apologies if this is in the wrong section, I'm used to the GTI forum :)
