Cheers guys, now all I've got to do is dry out my footwell! -
Help! I was cleaning out the crud from the scuttle (wet passenger footwell)! and noticed this little fella flapping around. Does anyone know what it should be connected to and where best to get a new one? Its a 2 ltr 16v (9A).

Sorry, could only spare 5 mins on it......

Tinted top overlays for me.

The hardest thing was getting the glovebox out! I disconected the small battery, about the size of a pack of butter, and the power drain dropped from well over 300ma to about 30! I just insulated the leads and its been fine ever since. I've just dug out the paper work and the phone number for Tracker is: 01895 234567. That number is 10 years old thou.....

Try to find out if the car ever had a 'tracker' fitted, mine did and although its not in use, it still had a battery attached behind the glovebox which was knackerd and draining the main battery. Might be worth a look!

Its not blue, but its dark! -
My 2.0 16v had a traker, and a battery that would'nt hold a charge! whip your glovebox out and have a rummage. I found a big lead acid battery that was pulling about 200 mA, combined with short runs and not being driven everyday = flat battery! No problems since I removed it. 8)

Try switching on the ignition, reconnect the battery, turn the ignition off then press the remote for ten seconds. I've had to do this a couple of times as the battery on my 2.0 16v lasts about 3 days at the moment!
