The £600 for a 300bhp plus car is very achievable with any Calibra Turbo, but if we compared like for like with V6s, tuning a Calibra V6 is probably as expensive as tuning a Corrado VR6 - this is the benefit of forced aspiration. The 4 wheel drive on a Calibra is cared for **properly** will outlast the rest of the car, they do need maintenance - e.g. regular fluid changes and tyre rotation. But the real benefit of the 4wd transmission on the Calibra is the intelligent aspect of it e.g. the ability to transfer all the drive to the rear wheels where necessary. Also comes into the 0-60 argument - I can't see a 2wd production car getting enough traction to lay down the power to get a 6.2 0-60 time realistically - it would have to have HUGE midrange torque... also the 4x4 makes fast cornering and handling excellent - especially on lowered springs - so I believe a head to head on track times and RR would be a cool experiement.
