My VR6 has started misfiring. This normally occurs after about 3 miles of driving. e.g when the engine has warmed up nicely. It never seems to do it when engine is cold. I have had it tested on the diagnostic equipment at the dealer and it does not report any faults. The plugs and leads have been replaced (leads are not OE ones). The dealer says that i need to replace them for genuine leads, cost of around £100, as the next step of action. I am not sure about this as they are new leads anyway! Any one else had a misfiring engine only when it is hot. Could it be coil pack?

34cm ? Measured from where? Whati meant was the measurement between cenre of rear whell and centre of front measuresd from the side of the car. It will be more like 2 metres

Strange question this. My VR6 has been in a bump on the nearside wheel. When it was being repaired the body shop said that the front wheel on the drivers side was pushed back towards the rear wheel. If I measure the gap between the back of the wheel and the wing it is about 10mm different when comparing near and offside. What i need help with is determining which side is out. Could some helpful person measure the distance between the centre of the rear wheel and the centre of the front wheel on your corrado and post the distance. Best do it on both sides so that i can compare with mine. I imagine the track is the same on all models? Thanks Peter

Hi, I need new tyres on my VR6. I have Avon ZV1 on at the moment. These are quite an old tyre now. What does everyone else use? Anyone tried Toyo Proxes T1-S on a VR Cheers Peter

Sandy, I just didn't like the way it only hits about 50mph in second gear and first did only around 20 mph if i remember correctly. The VR6 has much longer ratios for 1st(40mph) and 2nd(70mph). The G60 is OK when on the move but so is the VR6. Also the engine note on the VR6 after 4000rpm is great!! I've owned both, currently have VR6, and would choose a VR6 over a G60 any day. The g60 probably handles better that the VR6, lighter front end. My other car is a Lotus Elise 111S, so I choose the Corrado for cruising and refinement. Maybe we use the cars for different reasons? I reckon a G60 with new gear ratios would be the best bet! But that requires money! Peter

Thanks , My car is exactly the coulour of yours Rams. I'll ring dealer now . The problem was that the code on the sticker in mine was incorrect . So the dealer said last time i tried to get paint. I'll try again.

I need to get a touch up paint for my 1994 VR6. When I bought the car from a dealer they said the colour was sherry pearl effect or something like that. The last time I tried to get touch up paint the dealer (different one) said that the paint code in my car was incorrect and that the paint for mine had been discontinued. This I find hard to believe. Anyone else here got the same coulour car as me. If so, do you know the colour code? Thanks Peter

Hi, I am starting to search for a storm model to replace my VR6 and have a few questions that you may be able to help with. I have already viewed one but it looked a little rough! a) Does the V5 (log book) state STORM as the model or just VR6 I used to own a scirocco storm and that stated storm as the model. b) Is the grill on the front of the car the same colour as the body work or is it black as in the VR6 and other models. c) Does anyone know if any exist with air-con fitted , was this an option?
