Thanks for reply , Do i need to order the whole setup , Ie does the electrical connection come out from the key barrel. Also is this a part i have to get from VW dealer.

My 1991 1.8 Corrado wont start , the problem seems to be the connection plug going into the ignition. If i mess around with the wires she will run. Do i need to replace the complete ignition switch. I also understand they have a ignition module could this be making matters worse. Any photos or wiring diagrams would help .Thanks :lol:

Sorry for details i have a intermitant fault IE no power at times to coil , I have checked for loose relays etc all seem ok. If i leave the car for few hrs it will start & run ok. But once stopped wont run again. Also checked the ignition switch connector looks ok. All earth straps are ok. Thanks for reply. :D Sorry for all the questions but is there a relay anywhere i could check.

My 1991 16v corrado wont start ? I dont seem to have power to the coil . But strange thing imanaged to get her running but once i turned engine of the problem stated again . Could this be the ignition switch & also does this car have ECU. Thanks :(

Heater on my 1991 1.8cc corrado not working , i have tested all sensors etc & car is running at normal temp. Leaving onlythe heater valve the hose is hot upto the valve, but i think its returning the water through the bypass outlet on valve. Is there a way of testing this valve also VW dealer says it was a comman fault & a recall item. Thanks
