Great - thanks for all of the replies. Despite only looking into the VR6s for a couple of weeks now I feel like I've well and truly caught the bug and won't settle for anything else now!! Sounds like even when I do end up having to do a few bits and pieces there's plenty of help here when I have questions....next step is taking the leap and buying one I guess! Thanks again. awa83

Hey all, Am currently the owner of a Fabia VRS - great for motorways and everyday driving but want a "weekend" car for fun and pure driving pleasure.....a corrado VR6 was suggested to me as the cheapest way to meet that criteria. The only thing I was concerned about was the fact I've only ever owned a new car so haven't ever had to do the basic engineering stuff that I imagine you get a lot owning an older car like this. How much basic knowledge should I have to make the most of owning a car like this?? Any advice welcome! AWA83
