just got a replacement doorhandle and tried to replace lock having trouble getting the spring that tensions the lock in correctly anyone got any ideas

windows and central locking stopped working replaced the awkward fuse and everything good for a little while then fuse melted luckily no wires burned any ideas of what to check before putting in another fuse much appreciated
