Quick question fella's My mate has a rado vr6 on L plate and has been offered a set of S4 replica alloys 18".Fitted with 225/40/18 tyres.Came off a beetle so they are 5*100.He has standard suspension set up.Will they fit or will they rub etc. Thanks in advance for any replies..

My car sold today.Really gutted to see it go but a friend bought it so will still be able to keep an eye on it. What I did find hard though was the lack of interest they recieve.Placed it for sale everywhere and only a few calls.Would be a shame if the desire to own one is killed off by rising fuel and tax prices..

Yes Paul it certainly was .A good fella called Declan came to get it .

Nice motor mate .Don't see many Ice V.Did you buy it off pistonheads from Wales by any chance..

Stunning looking storm.Mint condition.Seems that the VW scene in Ireland is really kicking off. Just had somebody from near Dublin come over and buy my wifes MK4 Anniversary.Buy the time he flew over and ferry back and paid tax to import it cost him a small fortune.Showed real comittment.Hope you enjoy your investment..

Just a quick post on the subject of Carrado sales.A bit mistified as to why even though they were pretty much the flagship performance Coupe for VW how the sales suffer. What I mean by this I have only ever owned two ,the first being a K reg 92 VR6 back in 97 .Loved the car ,but when the time came to sell struggled big time even though it was mint. Since then have driven mk2 gti's also loved them but the demand for them is crazy ,the last one being a run out 8v j reg had over 35 calls in two weeks and it wasn't advertised cheaply. So last year when I bought my current VR6 looked for a good one little ownership and full vag history .Time has come to sell and not one call.So not sure if I have overpriced(maybe the value has massively dropped in the last 12 months) or fuel prices and road tax come into it. Be interested to hear other peoples view on this one as performance and drive wise has to be the best car I've owned and add to that the Future classic status. Cheers folks let me know what you think..

Just supplied in a box of two.No instructions to be honest but simply take off the old ones and slip the new ones on .There fitted with a plastic adaptor.Use the original arms and .....Roberts your mothers brother..

Not sure if anybody else has tried this but instead of opting for the full Lupo Gti Conversion I managed to get hold of a VAG Wiper Conversion kit for the Rado Part number 6n2998002 and it came in at only £16.44 inc vat. Fitted them within 5 minutes and worked out a treat. No more streaks and didnt lift while driving along the motorway in the rain. Like I say not sure if anybody else has gone for this option if so just ignore me,but so impressed thought I would share. :D

Whats wrong with travelling with money ?? People do it all the time :? Not quite sure to be honest.I have always travelled with cash.Just end up looking like a mental patient due to the worry.Still looking like that nobody comes near me..

Looks like the sale has fallen through.. The long and short is even if he aquired a Sterling bank draft from his bank(bank of Ireland) the sort code is classed as international and in stead of taking 3 days to process , could take upto 6 weeks .And we would not be able to securely draw against that until it had processed. What a nightmare .Still you learn something new everyday. The only way around it would be for him to travel with money which he is not comfortable with. Thanks for all the advice fella's.

Cleaned up quite well. Nice motor..

As we speak my wife is looking into the pro's and cons via our Bank. Thanks for the prompt feedback fella's.

Will look into this .Cheers.

Good advise cheers mate..

Lovely looking car .To be honest I know what you mean about choice of colour but with milage like that and I presume the price was right also it would be a sin to not buy it. The one I recently bought is now turning in to my daily drive so looking to change the suspension also.Keen to see what you aim for and how it works out. And hey if it is quite a rare colour guess who also feels good :)

Need some advise Fella's. I am currently selling my wife's Golf Anniversary and have been contacted by another VW Enthusiast who lives in the south of Ireland. The plan is for him to have the Car Inspected by the AA prior to flying over and ferry back with car . My dilema is although I have verified the buyer on another VAG site (Vagdriver.net) where he is a moderator the only method he wishes to pay buy is bankers draft .Have heard a lot of horror stories in relation to cancelled drafts etc.Once the car is gone and across the water I dont have a leg to stand on .Any other suggestions as he doesn't feel comfortable travelling with cash. Or do you know of any bad stories or losses. Will appreciate any feed back Cheers..
