Having just replaced the front engine mount on my G60 for a solid mount, in a bid to cure the light knocking noise, i now have a louder harsher knock, mostly heard when pulling away. Not having chance to get it on a ramp this week, anybody had this before. My first suspision is the rear mount as i think the knock can be felt against the bulkhead? Any ideas?

Over the past week i have not felt as confident with my C as i feel there is excessive play in the steering, im getting alot less feed back when driving hard and seem to be able to move the steering wheel side to side without actualy turning the road wheels. Has anyone come across this before? Is there a joint that wears on the steering column? Thanks in advance.

Just got hold of a 68mm pulley and a AMD chip for my G60. Was going to fit them this weekend till a mate of mine told me that the standard aux belt tensioner just wont be log enought to compensate for the size difference in the pulley. Can anyone enlighten me as to where to purchase a new uprated tensioner? Thanks.

Just purchased a AMD G60 '94 chip off flea bay. Are they simple to fit and do they need any setting up. I have got a 68mm pulley which I will fit on the same day I fit the chip. Is it that straight forward?

Hi mate - yeah that was me, and Tempest on here owns the white Rado. Will keep my eyes out for you and your Rado and see how it progresses as the months roll by.. it looked like a really nice example already though it has to be said! :) Thanks for the positive coments, few things i want to change, but overall im happy with it. Will be looking for some new wheels in the new year. Both yours and tempest's are very tidy also, red's the best colour thou ........

Very nice motor the G-limited you talk of, the guys ok to. Tagged along with him to ultimate this year. Mate of mine was running a 280bhp mk1 (1.8t audi lump), and he could'nt leave the G-limited on the M69. Its a real sleeper, for those who are not in the know....... :D I was at the old mill to in the rado on wednesday (G60), think i spoke to you (red 16v rado?) and the guy who had the white LHD one.

Have searched the net for a gauge (including fitting kit) and can't find one........ :( Anybody have any ideas where i can purchase one from? Thanks

Rechecked my timing marks, all ok. Needed setting up with the strobe light. Spent a hour n a half getting the little bugger of a 13mm off the dizzy, popped to see a man in the know when it comes to G60's, who set it up for me. Now drives like a dream. D.............. :D

Hi, have just picked up a corrado G60, its my first car with cross drilled discs. I am not sure which way round the discs should face, i have drew a very technical picture (lol), to try and help explain what i mean. Should the n/s/f sit like fig 1 or fig 2? At the mo, they are fitted as shown in fig 1. Is this right? Thanks.

Heard about the snapping bolt on the G60's, so had a new bolt arrive today. Removed the aux belt and PAS belt. Gunned off the crank pully bolt and prepared to fit the new 'DX' bolt. It was at this time that the bottom pully fell off to reveal the cam belt. Am worried that the timing is now out, so have completely removed the cam belt, orderd a new kit and will fit tomorrow. Only problem is i have no idea where the cam and crank should line up to?????? If anyone has got a vw repair manual on disc and can be bothered to e mail me the G60 1992 timing marks, that would get me right out the thick brown stuff. Thanks Dale. [email protected]
