  3. Looking for some advice on a non starting 2.0 16v corrado, Basically it started messing about when starting cold, you would turn the key and nothing happened, however if you turned it numerous time it eventually started.... this happened the last 2-3 times I was out cruising around Now it wont start at all, I have ruled out any immobiliser issue by simply switching it out of the loop, however is there any ideas out there...Starter motor? Dizzy-normally would expect the engine to turn over or something but its not doing that...fuses check all ok, the battery is good so not due to lack of power.... Any help greatly appreciated Mark
  4. Hi there, My 2.0 16V corrado is doing the same, I have replaced pretty much the same items, along with the cold start injector on the front however with no joy... Did you get any solution to this problem?? Mark
  5. have tried this at home on a different PC with different internet provider, but no success... can't access the web page for some reason...:( keeps showing up as connection error, server inaccessible!! :(
  6. Augh dont tell me that.....ur breaking my heart!! I can't even get onto the web page for some reason, I have used it so many times, I even had a shortcut on the desktop haha :) Not sure why I cant access the site, had read on another site that it had closed down, but that is not a 'confirmed kill' as they would say!!:) Hence is there any other sites which provide the same detailed parts lists for rado's! Mark
  7. Just a quick question, has anyone found a site for searching for VW part numbers which would replace our long lost friend VAGCAT.COM... Really missing this site as it was so handy... :)

  9. Hi, Ive just put a new radiator into my 16V corrado and replaced gauge temperature sensor also as the temp gauge wasnt working, but I've now noticed I'm having some problems with the fan not coming on which i'm beginning to think may have been the original cause of the crack/leak in the first place. Now I have been able to confirm that its not a air lock because I have cycled the coolant through the pipes and basically everything to ensure there is no air. Now I can't confirm whether this was the problem or not before my repairs, but I was just wondering if anyone could answer/confirm some of my queries. Firstly the fan should switch on at approximately 105-110 oC shouldnt it? There is 3 wires going to the fan, does anyone know the sequence of the power going to these for the fan to be operating? Possibly swapping the switch which controlls the fan maybe an option as possible it may have been soaked before during the radiator leak, what do you think..? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Best regards Mark
  10. My 16valver temperature gauge has stopped working! I have read that the BTS(blue temperature sensor) is the sensor which controls this but where exactly is this, I though it was the sensor located half way down the engine block on the right hand side? but someone told me it was located front left the engine...can someone give me a confirmed kill on this on! :) Also Im guessing that this sensor also controls the coolant fan operation?? Is that true?
  11. My 16valver is doing the same recently, as long as it heats up it goes like a dream, but on cold start chugs and loses power. Where exactly is the BTS(blue temperature sensor) located, on the inlet manifold? I noticed that the coolant gauge doesnt seem to be going past 70 degrees as mentioned in this post so Im guessing this maybe related somehow, possibly the default has been adopted by the ECU? Any joy with this issue guys? MARK
  12. Got caught by this one just this week, the wipers look excellent on, pity they don't contact the screen!!!! :D :D Does the LUPO or TT conversion work?? Has anyone tried this? any pictures...
  13. My ABS light is burning on the dash, however everything all the brakes would appear to be working grand! Is there anything simple I can check to eliminate this problem (other thatn take the bulb out!) There doesn't appear to be any obstructions on the abs sensors as normally some dirt or rust on the sensor.? any suggestions????? The dash light only comes on once the car moves? Are sensors expensive? :help: :help:
  14. Can anyone help? I am having difficulty identifying the ignition module on my 92 2.0 16v corrado. My corrado won't start! I have been working through all posible reasons for not getting spark, I have replaced the spark plug, ignition switch, changed the coil and now I'm looking to change the ignition module, however I have encountered some dificulty in location a replacement. There are a couple of ignition modules available on the market however I have been unable to get the correct one. Normally most 16V have Intermotor Part number 150002 module which is a 5 pin module however I would appear to have an odd ball one on mine with 3pins and 2 leads from it going to the ignition coil. The car has the standard round coil, not the square version. I have included pictures of the module to see if anyone can identify it?
  15. Found problem, thank goodness nothing major, The indicator loom coming back from the indicator lamp was being shorted but the securing clip on the hot air return pipe going into the bottom of the air box. Required nothing more than some insulation tape. Running sweet again!! full the pipe!! :D :D :fadein:
  16. Dilemma, dilemma, When I put on my indicators either right or left, both lights come on and the car goes into hazard light mode, only with slightly dimmed lights. Has anyone come across this before? Are the hazard lights and indicators on a seperate fuse? I think possibly I touching wires some where on the indicating circuit but I'll need to check this out. The problem seems to come and go but when your piling down the road its very annoying when it happens. All help appreciated!! :) :)
