  1. Nice one mate! Will let you know how I get on. Hopefully I won't have to brake like Fred Flinstone after today!
  2. Alrite mate! So I guess I'm just going to have to sit in the car pumping the pedal like an ape then. Oh well, it could be worse! Sorry mate I meant my rear bleed valves were nasty. Ones you sent were ok, but I just thought if I'm replacing the rears I mite as well do the whole lot! Wish me luck. I will have legs like Linford Christie by the end of today!!
  3. Hi, Please tell me if I'm being stupid, as this has got me totally confused! I have an early valver (Kr) without ABS. Right, I put on a new set of front calipers yesterday (changed pads too). Picked up a set of 4 bleed valves for the calipers too from VW - as pervious owner had tried chewing the old pair! After changing the calipers I also replaced the brake master cylinder. The brake fluid resevoir emptied whilst replacing the caliper-which made it a lot easier. Didn't get a chance to bleed the system as the weather was typically British yesterday! But will def do it today. What I'm confused about is this. I've read in a lot of places that you have to bleed the MC, but I don't have a clue how to or where from. As there was no bleed valve on the brake MC? I don't have an Ezi-bleed kit and will be bleeding the system the old fashion way! I don't want to go through all this work and realise I've missed something out! Any help and advice would be appreciated! Cheers.
  4. Cheers for the info. I will keep an eye out!
  5. Yea, I definately think its the switch. Took it out and saw a few sparks. Guessing the switch is fried. Don't worry, the 1st thing I did was take the door panel off to see if there was any loose wiring. How easy is it to pick up another swicth and how muchj do they generally cost. As I want to get this sorted out ASAP.
  6. Changed the switch over after work last night. It wasn't as hard as I've heard it to be. Took about 15 minutes. Just have no indicators now. So will have to open it up again and find a loose connection.
  7. Hi, My passenger electric window has really stumped me. 1 day I tried to put my passenger side window down and nothing happened. My drivers side works fine (a little slow, but works). Both my wing mirrors also work fine. I've put my head to the door pannel and listened for any noises, but its totally silent. Would this be the motor thats gone and if so is it difficult to fix? I have had a look att the window switch and all the wires are fine, as I soldered them earlier in the month as I had loose connections. I have an early Corrado. Really need some help as the weather is so hot and Im melting just driving around with 1 window open! Cheers.
  8. I've got the same problem. Sometimes I need to wiggle the key just to get the car started. Just wondered how easy/ stupidly hard the switch is to replace and if anyone has done a write-up on this yet. As im going to give it a go this week and it would be really usefull!!! Ps. I have an early Corrado (don't know if that makes a difference). Cheers
