Hiya all, My starter motor had been making a weird noise the last few days and this morning it's just died. It makes one click noise and that it. Im assuming that is the starter motor cos the G60 still bumps to live!! My problem is finding a new one as, if im correctly told there are two: - The LRS785 for Corrado G60 between 91-93 The LRS731 for Corrado G60 between 88-91 Now unluckily my G60 is a H so its a 91! haha! So does that mean ive gotta get the early one? Im assuming the one for 91-93 starts on a J-Reg. Yours Alex

I was gonna do that but my tit of a mate came up with the ingenius idea of setting fire to a puddle of petrol near to where i was fixing the fuel pump, next thing i know the old fuel pump and the sender is screwed thats why im after the old Pierburg sender to the VDO pump. I need to get the sender though
-
Im assuming the part number is: - 191 919 051 D Is this any help? Alex

Hiya all, After being a Corrado owner for the last 6months im getting rid of the Corrado this week, :( Ive gotta admit i would love to keep my car but its not doing it any good on my estate with the stupid speed bump the council have built purposely so i cant have a nice car! Im swappin it for a Celica GT4 the ST185 model, its pretty nice not as rare or as unique as the G60, i mean since ive had it ive only seen 3 in manchester! haha but i always see the GT4s, anyway Its going to a nice chap in South London, hes had a VR6 before and he wants a Corrado again. ill be sure to tell him bout the forum, but who knows i might get bored of it and get a tidy VR6 or summot. Take it easy Alex

Well, what a crap night. tonight started off awesome! but ended up as one of the worst night of my driving life. I took a few of my friends to Bolton for a few pints and whilst we were driving up the motorway, my grill flew off. I dint realise it at first but when i stopped in Bolton my friend said it had gone, on my way home i found it on the motorway smashed into a million pieces. Then i went back to pick them up at 3, while dropping each of them off my car ran out of petrol so we had an hour messing around to get some juice! Here the 'BEST' bit... Once i got the car filled up i went to my friend house and dropped him off i was parked up on the side of the road and a car came speeding down the road and hit my rear arch. I chased after him and from the driving i knew they were TWOCer's i ended up losing him. When i checked my car i was 'relieved' to find that it had only caused a massive chip which just needs painting. Like my mate said, the speed the him came round the corner 10mm back or to the right it would av been alot worse. This might not sound all to bad but in the morning i was supposed to be going to Gretna to do a PX with a Merc for my G60. People always say bad luck comes in 3's... in a way its true in this case but its 4 fold with not being able to do this deal Alex

Hi all, I know this is a topic which has been talked about abit but none of them give a straight answer. So will a strut brace off a MK2 Golf fit a Corrado, Im not sure but id fink that the the 16v one might not fit... or would i have to get a Golf G60 one? Cheers Alex

Hi all, Ive seen loads of these dial kits around for a other VWs but none for the Corrado, I was wondering if anyone knows where you can get kits like this from for it. The closest one is for the T4s thats it. This is the sort of thing im after: - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/93-98-VW-GOLF-3-M ... dZViewItem Cheers Alex.

there ok, its just when i put my foot on the accelerator. when its idling its not a problem. Its very quiet as well if i have my music on and the windows down you couldnt hear it.
-
Hi all, Just a quick query, I was out last night in my G60 and was hammering it about playing against some pretty quick cars but once id calmed down and was mooching home i could hear a faint clicking noise, it was only when i put my foot on the accelerator. I thought it was a wheel at first but when i put it in 5th doing bout 35mph, i could really hear it. I was wondering if it sound like the tappets? Like i said it only happens when i put my foot down. What do you think is the best cure? Service? New Tappets? Cheers Alex L

Hi All, Ive been hanging around this site for a while but i finally managed to get my hands on a G60 this weekend so i fort id become a member. The G60 i bought was actually off this forum... it was in the For Sale bit a couple of weeks ago. Its red with Porsche 944 wheels with mirror polished faces (Obviously with stretched rubber), its lowered by 45mm with a full stainless exhaust. K&N filter in a drilled air box with a 68mm Pulley and a stage 1 chip. I think it looks stunning but my fears are that its not got FSH, its got a load of receipts of work done recently but theres none bout a rebuild of the charger. I heard that they have to be reconditioned every 45,000 miles but it had a 68mm pulley at the last engine service and i heard thats around every 30,000 miles. Finally, as i said above its got a full stainless exhaust, a drilled air box, a 68mm pulley and a stage 1 chip, what bhp am i looking at? One of the websites I was reading said its good for 30bhp... does that sound bout right? Cheers Alex L PS Is there any Corrado or G60 owners clubs or groups in Manchester?
