  1. It's all good brotha :D We all have those days. Ive never broke my wrist but I broke my leg snowboarding once and it was aweful. I have three teeth rotting out of my mouth right now and no money to fix them because I have a baby on the way and just bought a nice house. I pay for my wifes insurance but have none of my own. Point being im feeling pretty bad myself right now. You guys get free medical care over there??

  2. WOW!! I really pissed him off  NEWBIE??? Maybe, but only on here. I've been tuning dubs for 12+ years. I cruise this forumn because you European's seam to be more knowledgeable and serious than the hacks here in the U.S.A. As far as the shift boot goes it simply pops right off.. No big deal.. Just be careful and you wont break anything.

  3. Two words.............SOUND DEADENING!!!!! If you want your system to sound right the more sound deadening material the better. It makes a much bigger difference than buying more expensive components. In fact cheaper components with sound deadening material will sound much better than expensive components without it. Personally I would use rubberized undercoating from spray cans wich can be purchased at any auto parts store. Remove your door cards, mask off the door mechanisms and spray everything with the stuff, then spray the backside of the door cards allow to dry and reassemble everything. This will make a HUGE improvement in sound quality and as an added bonus when you close your doors they will sound as if they are late model mercedes doors. If it were me I would do the same treatment to the rest of the car. Rear panels, under the carpeting, the rear hatch, trunk floor, and under the rear seat. Literaly do everything and the sound quality with what you have will blow your mind. REALLY!! But thats not the best part. The best part is that your Corrado will seam as solid as a Mercedes Im not kidding at all its really that good. You could always use specific sound deadening material but in my experience the rubberized undercoating works almost as good and is much cheaper. DO IT!! You will thank me.. :D I did this to the biggest rattletrap 1986 mk2 GTI that I had and it was better than a new car when I was done 8)

  5. Good day!!

I live in the united states and as we never got the 16v ABF engine here I was wondering if any of you could give me an idea of where to source one?? Pricing etc...

    Cheers!!

  6. I live in eastern Pennsylvania about 15 miles west of New Jersey. Approximately 1 hour from New York City And one Hour From Philadelphia. I've been a dub head for about 13 yrs. I've owned several mk2's both 16 valve and 8 valve all of them in different states of tune. I also built a stage 3 g60 some years back. My last tuned dub was a 98 1.8t quattro a4. I ran it with a t28 turbo, milltek exhaust, injectors etc. approx 300whp. I'm currently rolling in a 1.8t jetta bone stock. I have no plans on tuning the jetta but im looking to purchase a corrado rolling shell and from what ive read on here I believe that a 3.2 or 3.6 swap with a hybrid synchro haldex conversion is the way to go... I just bought a new house so im going to have to piece this together over time as I intend on building it to a very high standard... I dont know if anyone is aware of this but the dollar is very weak compared to the euro right now and if anyone needs parts sourced from the states I could be of help. 8)
