Oh yes it defo shifted wen was runnin! KInda regret doin the twin carbs thing, if only cos of the constant need 2 set them up. Was usin it as my only means of transport at the time. Now want 2 get it bak as a plaything 2 use at the weekends and 2 take 2 car meets

Hi guys am a new member and hav an interesting question. I hav a '91 Corrado G60 with a few engine mods. Few weeks ago on a journey 2 leicester my speedo needle suddenly decided 2 flail around randomly. After a while it stopped altogether, then later it was working agen. It has done this a few times since tho most of the time it works ok. I hav read other topics on this type of problem which hav sed that its the magnetic speed sensor on the gearbox that causes it. Cud this b the problem? The other topics did not mention anythin about problems with other functions, but my mileometr and trip do not work wen the speedo is not workin, and the MFA functions do not work either. I hav spoken 2 the garage i use who are VW specialists and a guy ther with a G60 says it could b the clocks that need changin. Any help would b appreciated. Peter

Standard outside and inside but engine has had a bit done. Stage 4 charger, chipped, supersprint exhaust system and pipercross induction kit. Runnin bout 190bhp last time was rollin roaded This has been off the road since 2004 as blew head gasket twice! Caused by engine transplant I think! Has a 2 litre bottom end from Mk3 GTI, 1.8 litre head from a race spec Mk2 GTI, twin 45 Dellorto carbs, hi-lift cam with vernier pulley, 4-2-1 manifold with powerflow system with twin tailpipes, lowered 60mm on 15s, R & A Design Audi UR Quattro bonnet, sparco front seats with rear seat retrimmed 2 match. Was runnin bout 160bhp wen last on the road This was chipped so went quite wel. Only had it short while as bought the G60 which was quicker yet stil cheaper 2 run and insure!
