Hi I have had my Corrado re-decorated by a lovely van man :mad2: It actually looks a lot worse than it is and the rear panel is the only part damaged beyond repair, the boot floor has got away without harm as has the rear quater panel and the bumper only has a small crease which could be sorted quite easily. I was going to have the car resprayed anyway (Iam just £900 better off for it from insurance) so went to the bodyshop as planned and he advised to get a new panel if i can, problem being that VW wants £375 + VAT and i can get one cut out of a write off from a breakers for £65! Is there anywhere else that is likely to have this panel for a reasonable price? Thanks in advance Alex

Ben thats some great work there mate, your bike looks pretty nice too! Iam currently building up an old hard tail ridgeback i have had in pieces for years so i can do the London to Brighton cycle ride with the people from work. I have always been more of a BMX guy and regularly thrash my Federal out on the streets, dont fancy doing the London to Brighton on a brake-less 20 incher though!

My car presently looks like your interior does on your last update! What i want to achieve is to have a false floor but to remove the carpet on the turrets and relocate all of the "stuff" i can thats attached to the rear turrets into the spare wheel well so i get the contrast of white and black (white car/black interior) Friend of mine is anal about weight saving and got some good cardboard sheet and trimmed that in fabric as its lighter than chipboard/mdf, wouldnt recommend putting anything on it though! Iam just concerened at the continuity of the rear doorcards, speaker pods, etc as i dont want it to look like i have just ripped bits out, if that makes sense. e.g. holes for seatbelts in the doorcards clearly visible in all of the above pics would bug me! I will be taking plenty of pictures at UD of exactly this topic so will be happy to share when i get back. At the moment my time is focused on how iam ever going to tuck 9.75" wide rear wheels and incorporate the fact they require adapters! Alex

Thought i would revive this old thread, anyone found any stripped out Rado pics? Mine is stripped but i dont know whether to clean it up to metal or add a false floor? Alex

May sound really obvious and sorry if you checked this, but i fitted my Momo team today and the boss fell short of the copper brush on the steering column so tweaked it out with some pliers and it works a treat now Alex

Have tried to use the search function but cant seem to get it to work, so thought i would just ask. In my continued quest to fit some wider dishes to my BBS splits, it was suggested that i could try and convert my '91 Rado 16V from 4x100 to 5x112, This would be easy on the rear of the car as its already running discs and i would just get an engineering firm to re thread a set of existing 5x100 discs to 5x112. On the fronts of i have tried to contact Bildon Motorsport about whether their conversion kit is available un-drilled or custom drilled to a different stud pattern. Does anyone know of a car running this conversion or if there is a company in the UK that specialise in hubs and drivetrain assemblies? Mega Thanks in Advance Alex

Hi Iam relatively new to the Corrado world and currently enjoying my white '91 plate Valver, had a search for similar topics but didnt bring up anything to help. I am in the process of doing the obvious modifications, like coilovers, ARB's engine & gear box mounts to try and stiffen things up after its years of daily drive abuse. Oh and its being converted to 5x100 to help with my wheels choices. Iam also building up my summer rims and iam a bit stumped as to how wide i can go, i will fill you in with the details so far.... I have a set of 17x8 BBS splits et35 5x112 PCD, FK make a 15mm adapter but aparantly it is not advisable running one this thin and 20mm is the recomended thickness. Could i get away with 17x8.5 on the front with a 20mm adapter taking it to effectively et15! was also going to stretch a 205 40 on there to help the tuck? I know iam going to need serious arch work, which isnt a problem on the rear as its double skinned, its the fronts iam really worried about. I will also don my flame suit as from my search staggered wheel widths, stretch and general impracticality seem to against the grain. Thanks in advance Alex
