  1. I understand why people think its unnecessary to have more than one car, thing is lots of people who own classic cars tend to not be able to control their buying urges and end up with what they call "a fleet". I read practical classic magazine and they are always banging on about thier personal fleet of cars, their attitude very much encourages people to own more than one classic car. Now i know just because someone tells you too doesnt mean you should, but i have found it helps me not feel so guilty of my car buying addiction to know that there are so many other people with the same problem as me. :cuckoo: I personally love being able to choose what im going to use that day, it makes me enjoy the drive to and from work. The corrado does make me drive like a hooligan though..
  2. MK1 Golf Gti Campaign - Occasional Summer/Dry weather use Corrado for Occasional use Suzuki Swift Sport is my main drive to work car, but i use either of the above depending on the weather! Wife has a new Honda Civic which is actually pritty good. SSSport is the closest a new car has got to the old hot hatch feel, its realy good fun! Building works in the background will be my new double garage.. cant wait!!!
  3. Full spread article on the Corrado VR6 an Alfa and one other i cant remember in autoexpress this week too! Something about cars designed and first driven in the late 80s. very favourable write up with a very favourable price guide!
  4. ive always wanted to go on a trip like that, i used to have a 66 series II and bought all the landy mags with people doing trips through africa etc frying eggs on the gearbox cover inside the cabin. lol Always promised myself id do someting similar. Ive kinda changed my plans now and my plan is to rent a 4x4 camper in north australia and drive through the outback... its a cop out i know! From what ive read i think you may be surprised at how many spares for landies are available around africa. Plus that V8 is a very common beastie!
  5. That is a BEAST.. a secret twisted part of me has always loved those! You might wanna have a look at an LPG conversion ;-)
  6. CAT D is only very light damage, i think your really looking at about 15% off market value for a Cat D.
  7. Have you got it on Piston heads classifieds? Lots of cars sell via that site and its free unlike Autotrader.. I have been looking at the VR6 prices alot over the last few months and it does seem a touch on the high side. Recon you would get much more interest if it was £3500 - £3850
