  1. hi everyone. have heard all about this wur modification but cant find anywhere how to do it myself. have checked various internet sites and still no joy. need fairly in depth instructions to it as first time 16 valver! thanks!
  2. oh right thanx. do you know where we can find out how best to perform the wur modification? wanna make sure we do it right!
  3. apologies if this is a stupid question, but wot is a wur upgrade? cant think of wot that is short for!
  4. hi everyone we are 6 workmates new to the forum. weve entered a competition called dubmasters, we have a 1500 pound strict budget, and basically have to get our car to go like stink and handle well. bought 1.8 16v kr engine h reg corrado for 400 pound, so just 1100 quid left to spend. any advice or anyone with more experience of anything like this, all ideas welcome. need max power for as cheap as poss, any little mods that you may know of, thanks a lot for any help. will keep the forum updated of our progress!!
  5. yeh just a bit! so do you guys no of any places or companys that sell the kinda bits were after? as were trying to get everything cheap as poss shopping around is taking up a bit more time then we thought it might do! also has anyone ever heard of three valve angling?? or something along those lines?! plus anyone fitted high lift cams and experienced issues with the power band then being too high up the rev range? ive found that a 1.6 mk4 golf or beetle gearbox will boltn straighht in place and offers the shorter gear ratio that should help eliminate the slow acceleration from such poor torque figures. just wondered if anyone else has actually already done all this to no if its worth us spending the cash and hopefully getting a more than respectable 1/4 mile time!
  6. yeh we gotta have receipts for everything unfortunately although i dare say we could get away with the odd bit here and there! reckon well be payin a few visits to ebay!
  7. thats brilliant guys thanks a lot.
