Hi whilst working in Canada, I lent the rado to me Dad (who loves it and doesn't wanna give it back, in fact first day out in it he got caught speeding :lol: ) But he parked it up in a cinema car park came back after the film and someone had reversed into the door making a dent of at least the size of a fist right on the passenger door crease line !!! Bastard hit and run as well. Is there any point claiming on my insurance (£350xs) 'cos one garage said the door needs re-skinning and its like £400 alone for the parts !! Does anyone know any good body shops in the south east at all (I might get the stone chips taken out as well :wink: ) Why do people do this to our great cars are they jealous or what !!

HI there ! Are our Corrado VR6'ers going up in value ? Just did a national search on autotrader and found prices ranging between £4500 - £7500 for any vr6 with less than 80,000 miles !! Only asking 'cos I might be selling my late '93 dragon green VR6 with 71,000, cloth interior, FSH (not all vag) and mintek exhaust :lol: fancy a new M3 !! and don't want to give it away !!

Hi Nicked this picture off Andi on the carbon filter thread The round black plastic thing with two pipes going into each side with bulldog clips is always covered in oil, is this good or bad? cheers Alex

Make that any good vag specialists in Sussex, as I guess none of you live in Brighton !!

Does anyone know of any good VW independent garages near Brighton that know VR6's well, the garage I used in Brighton (a VW specialist) recommended an oil flush on my VR6 (to cure a temp problem) so its obvious they don't know anything about VR6's :x cheers

How smooth(?) is idle meant to be on the VR6? My idle sort of burbles and sometimes it sounds like its missing a beat, is this normal Has been like this for three years now, nothing shows up on vagcom cheers

does anyone know where you can get a car bra(nose protector)? cheers

Thanks for your replys ! Where can you get the open slatted grille from?, is it a vag item as I have the closed slatted one Gonna have the coolant changed and rad flushed see if it helps. Does anyone know of a good vag specialist in sussex as I use qst in haywards heath at the moment and he's more of an Audi specialist. cheers

Hi there Having read the forum for info on hot engines can't seem to find the answer! My 93 VR6 (65,000) runs fine but when I'm doing 90 mph on way back from work the oil temp rises to 120c water temp sits at 90c tho, if I stop in traffic or go round town the water temp rises to about 102c (on gauge). Is this a sign of problems to come? cheers
