Looks like they have damaged a abs sensor whilst taking the discs off. When ur abs light comes on your abs wont work.Test in wet conditions and u can feel if the abs is working as the brakes pulse off an on.Let the garage deal with the problem it looks like they caused.

I found a spare key for the ignition that had no chip inside key and exactly the same thing happened.The car is now running with normal key.Weird.Think its definatly something to do with the factory immobilizer.Does the chip in the key ever go faulty?or do i need a new immobilizer.Thanks again for all comments.

Yes i think iam going to have to to take it in to volkswagen.Left the car at work overnight then went to it this morning and it started first time and ran great but i dont no when its going to let me down again.Cheers

My vr6 has given up starting.It was intermittent but has finaly let me down.IT has had a new starter moter and battery but i dont think it that because it turns ok and fires but the engine runs about 1-2 secons then dies as if it has lost its ignition live.i dont think its a fuel problem as i can rev the engine and when it did used to start after this it ran great.Has anyone any ideas what it could be cheers

Ive had this problem happen to me twice.Check the condition of your bottom ball joints and track rod ends.

Cheers Brian. So does that mean with coilovers i could lift my car and make it as comfy as standard,and would coilovers be a comfier ride than now with the height set the same?

Just joined this great forum today.I have a corrado vr6 with einbach springs and koni adj dampers with 17 inch alloys.The handling is good but when i hit a pothole its awful.This has caused bubbles in tyres and wears the bottom ball joints.I have read about coilovers do u think it would be worth investing?whould it make a big difference in comfort because the roads are rubbish where i live. cheers
