Yeh i take your point on the rev dropping thing. It fell like the power was taken away and returned both times, it's just that i looked at the revs the second time and expected them to be higher as i had my foot down trying to drive out of the corner. I had a full tank (£50.40 Optimax) which is unusual for me. A mate had a similar prob on his merc, it turned out to be a badly housed and damaged plug lead that was shorting when it touched metal under cornering. So we're decided it's not traction control? Is there any other post with the same problem? Cheers for response

Can anybody explain? Well it wasn't exactly a chicane but a roundabout! I went into it fast in the VR and on turning hard the revs dropped and came back then truning hard the other direction the revs dropped again, this time i looked at rev counter they'd dropped to 2k. I kept my foot down and the pwer came back. I don't mind saying it was a bit unnerving as we occasionally put alot of trust into these C's. Traction control? How do you know if your VR has traction control? Cheers 94 VR6 (ABS warning lights missing! plus the cutting out problem and dropped window + always misted up) love it though!

Funny thing my spoiler has been behaving strangely. After reading this thread I was out on a little trip to the shop which as usual turned into a blast up the nearest dual carriageway, turned the stereo off to listen to the V6 and up goes the spoiler. So, now I can operate the spoiler with the stereo on/off....Nice. Will sort the blue wire out, ta Henny. Dan

Let us know in a few days if the engine speed sensor solved your fault mate. Mine cuts out as well but wont start straight away. Have been ignoring the prob for a while now but can be very awkward at roundabouts/traffic lights. Dan

Thanks for great response :D .Seems like everyones suffered with this one! I've had 7 golfs but this VR Corrado is an enigma to me. They look the nuts and pull like a train but I'm not sure if I wasn't happier in my MK1 GTI or my 16Ver. Anyway early days yet hopefully she'll grow on me cause I've wanted one for 8 years! Sometimes it won't start after cutting out. I'll work through all your suggestions, cheapest first, thanks very much. Dan

Can somebody help I've read a few similar threads but no definate answer. My VR6 is occasionally cutting out when slowing down and depressing clutch. I can whatch the rev counter drop as I push the clutch in usually it goes to 600 ish but occasionally it drops to 0 I can catch it if I'm quick but risk crashing into cars due to looking at rev counter. Any advice, car was recently serviced at vw inc plugs. Cheers for any help.

I whipped the induction kit straight out of my new VR, standard airbox gives much more refined drive (less Barry Nova). It'll be on e.bay next week though! Cheers

Cheers for response, the price was right... unless the engine blows up! Will take it to a specialist and pray for good news. Seems to drive fine and pulls like a train. Induction kit or no induction kit?
