  1. Price reduced to £595, grab a bargain, 12 months Mot alone must be worth that
  2. 2.0 16v | Dragon green | Bournemouth Price: £595 Description: Standard 2.0L 16V Golf Gti in Dragon Green 12 Months Mot Currently Sorn 148,000 miles £595 ono Located near Bournemouth, Dorset, Reluctantly it is time to sell my 1997 Dragon Green Golf Gti. The car is unmolested and completely standard, it has only had 3 previous owners with the previous owner being a close friend. The engine is the 2.0 litre 150hp 16v engine that is totally standard and in the time I have owned it has always run faultlessly recently returning 42mpg on a trip to Brugge and back in Belgium. The car has covered 148k miles and comes with 12 months Mot. The tax ran out at the end of June so will be sorn from the 1st of July. The car comes with full stamped service history (13 stamps) up to 110,000 miles with all subsequent service work carried out by myself and backed up with receipts. The car comes with a large folder of receipts detailing previous service work. I have owned the car for only 5 months, I bought the car as a temporary car between selling my Corrado VR6 and buying a diesel, I kept the car longer than intended as I was so impressed with it. The reason for sale being the fact I now do a far greater mileage than I used to and have bought a diesel. The car is fantastic, I will be sad to see her go. The engine pulls strongly through all the gears and does not smoke, use oil or water and always starts first time. The clutch is smooth and all gears engage well. The car brakes straight and true, the ride height is standard and the car is surprisingly economical. The air conditioning works really well, there is however a fault with the electric windows, only the front passenger window works and that is tempremental, this however has not bothered me as I simply use the air con, it was like this when I bought the car and I think when my friend bought it before me. The bodywork on the car is in good condition and looks fantastic in the sun. The car comes with the orogional alloys which are in fairly good condition. There is however a few small marks as to be expected with a car of this age and a small piece of trim missing from the drivers door as can be seen in the pictures. The interior is in excellent condition, the cloth seats are immaculate: no tears, burns or sagging. The headlining is as it should be and there are also no speaker holes cut in the rear parcel shelf. The car comes with 2 keys and two remote fobs, which operate the alarm and immobiliser. I will be happy to answer any questions by email, phone or text. Viewings and test drives welcome, although please bring proof of insurance if you want to drive it yourself. Thanks for looking, Steve – 07825 300475
  3. VR6 | White | Bournemouth Price: 1995 Description: Standard 2.9L VR6 in Candy White MOT until Dec-12 Tax until Sept-12 133,000 miles £1995 ono now £1750 Located near Bournemouth, Dorset, Reluctantly it is time to sell my 1994 Candy White VR6. The car is unmolested and almost completely standard with the exception of clear side indicators and different wheels with plenty of tread, that said, the original wheels are available separately. The engine is the 2.9 litre 190hp VR6 engine that is totally standard and in the time I have owned it has always been run on V-power, which the forums always seem to recommend. The car has covered 133k miles and comes with 8 months Mot and 4 months Tax. The car comes with full stamped service history (13 stamps) up to 110,000 miles with all subsequent service work carried out by myself and backed up with receipts. The car comes with a large folder of receipts detailing previous service work. I have owned the car nearly three years and the reason for sale being the fact I now do a far greater mileage than I used to and shall be buying a diesel. The car is fantastic, I will be sad to see her go. She always gets comments from people and a white VR6 is rare. The engine pulls strongly through all the gears and does not smoke, use oil or water and always starts first time. The clutch is smooth and all gears engage well. The car brakes straight and true, the ride height is standard and there are no knocks or untoward noises from the suspension. The sunroof works fine and the rear spoiler raises as it should at 55mph, the only electrical problem is that the drivers window stopped working a weeks ago, the relay however still clicks. The bodywork on the car is in good condition with no noticeable dents or scratches, the car has had a re-spray at some stage and can be noticed around the edge of some of the rubber trim, this does not however detract from the overall look of the car. The original windscreen was replaced in December for the last Mot. The interior is in excellent condition, the cloth seats are immaculate: no tears, burns or sagging. The headlining is as it should be and there are also no speaker holes cut in the rear parcel shelf. The car comes with 3 keys and one remote fob, which operates the immobiliser and full closure Meta alarm system. I will be happy to answer any questions by email, phone or text. 7. I've been doing that, i get to send 3000 texts a month as part of my contract, if nothing else i'll just piss him off!
  8. The messages have definitely been sending, also he has definitely received texts and has been ignoring them and my calls, in fact today his wife answered his mobile and said she had no idea what I was talking about, She then said he was coming through the front door so would pass me over, then the phone hung up and was turned off after that. I don't think there is anything I can really do, just lose out he's clearly not intending to pay
  9. Nearly two months ago now I purchased a set of tinted red rear lights, or rather I didn't, I paid the guy, falconer01 from this forum by cheque and everything seemed to be fine, communication was received from him saying he had received the cheque, cheque was cashed and he said he would post next day, item never turned up. I text him as he gave me his number, he said he had sent it, a couple more days past and I text him again, he said Royal Mail lost the parcel but as it was insured he would send me a cheque back. Sounds fair enough but the cheque never turned up, after I text him and tried phoning him a couple of times and eventually he answered, he said he got his wife to send the cheque but that she must not have done, he then said he would pay me by bank transfer in a couple of days, this was 3 weeks ago since then I have sent emails, plenty of texts and tried phoning several times a day but he never answers. Anyone had any experience of falconer01 or any ideas??
  10. thanks for all your help, just to let you all know i decided to go for a vr6 in the end, just purchased it, more details and pics to follow
  11. Thanks again for all your help, by the sounds of it they are all much of a muchness the main factor probably being set up and service history, not really sure what to go for, ideally i would like a vr6 but insurance will be slightly more and for the money i am willing to pay £2.5 - £3k only likely to get very high mileage examples, what would you all suggest?
  12. thanks for all your help, some interesting comments, kinda putting me off the 16v and more g60 territory, I have about £2.5k to play with, maybe a bit more what would you all recommend, anything in overparticular to look out for like when timing belt needs doing or when work needs doing to the supercharger, also if anyone knows of any for sale within about 100 miles of BH21 (Dorset), that would be great, thanks
  13. Hi, I am going to be buying a corrado, just wondering about the mpg around town of the various different engines, from what I understand the G60 is the worst closely followed by the VR6, the mpg of the 2.0 engines is best but they are not as quick as the 1.8 16v, any advice or information would be greatly appreciated, cheers Steve
