I got this off of the vwsport site, not sure whos car it is, but they running 18psi, 340bhp and the "cut and shut manifold" still looks in one piece. I get what your saying about going down the custom manifold route, but its the same story with everything, like the people who use standard pistons etc..

well, what your all saying is true, and i have seen some custom intakes going around but in all fairness aiming for 350bhp with a shite load of low end torque isnt likely to blow the welds, i suppose its down to trail and error, but the 16vT that i have seen so far seem 2 be doing alright with the modified 1.8T mani, has it every happened to a TIG welded mani, or is it a assumption? Dimz

thanks i think i got the idea now so all you basically use off the old mani is the flange that bolts onto the side of the engine..? then drill any holes etc.. thanks

guys, me again with my 2.0 16vT project, started getting the bits in going usa in a few weeks to get some more toys, has anyone got a picture of what the modified inlet manifold looks like cutting and welding the 1.8T mani with the 16v mani.. Thanks

Basically guys, you've proberbly all noticed my threads here and there about the 2.0 16v 9A Engine, im having a few issues and figured there are a few people on here that have done the engine, would like some help please lol.. Basically im gunna be running standalone managment, iv hit a speedbump with the inlet manifold and injection system, im at a stand still on what will fit and will jus "bolt on". Iv been playing around with the idea of 1.8T inlet mani, fuel rail, reg etc..but not sure which audi or vw to get it from etc..bit baffled at this point..any help would be great.. Thanks

Guys, need to figure out what the valve sizes are for the 9A lump, inlet and exhaust cant manage to figure them out on ETKA, anyone know them?

ermm basically the block is the same as the G60, the G60 runs squirters to spray oil onto the bottom of the pistons, i wernt sure if the 9A had them 2..

Does the 9A block already have squirters in the block or is there just space for them? thanks

i got autodata will that cover all the information i need is there not like a technical workshop manual or something lol thanks

ok kl, just needed to someone to strengthen my theory..i figured as much after looking on ETKA and the part numbers for valves are the same and the cams were different thanks..anyone else have any info would be great..

Im doing some research into Engines etc.. and im trying to figure out what difference there is between the KR Head And the 9A Head, does anyone know? i heard alot of people use the KR head when doing the 2.0 16vT.. Any IDeas? Thanks

I am trying to figure out which gearbox's can handle big torque and power near the 400bhp end and the 350ft pounds of torque, any ideas? Thanks
