I hope this is the correct section for posting this, so here goes, Recently my 1.8 16v has started revving up n down i put this to having washed the engine and hopnig it would dry out, but now the car wont start at all. its alway taken quite a few turns to get it going but nw it wotn go at all. so i have changed the coil and checked that power is going to it and coming out of it. Ihave power and i have spark really strong one. also a very strong smell of petrol so im guessing that must be getting through. Engine turns but dosent fire???? :@ :mad2: :mad2: What could this be????? i will try anything :) thanks in advance luke.

kwl i want them all lol , and also whilst im here, theres a small black plug with three wires going into it which is very loose and when ever i touch it the car dies, can this be replaced or is it part of the loom?
-
yeah all i need to no is what im asking for at GSF or VW that all, so all of these are temp sensors?
-
i bought the in pro angels eyes wen my originals failed the mot cos of the crappy reflective background, i only got angels cos they were cheaper than proper ones, but tbh if you can get original one si would, but i do think my car looks go with them, but each to there own i spose

lol so confusing, i dont partulcarly do much motorway driving, and i walk to work, but wen i do drive long i like to be goin very quickly n nt the 70mph limit lol. i do like to get off the line fast but i duno if the vr6 wud still be faster off the linE?
-
no no not a G60 i was jsut wondering if it would be the right move to step up from the 1.8 16v to a vr6 that all and what your thoughts were, and also wether you think ne1 would be willing to swap a vr6 for a 16v thats all =]
-
this isnt a race ha, i was just wondering wether you think any1 would be intrested in a trade plus cash there way obviously depening on condition, Do you corrado owners think that a vr6 is the way foward after a 16v?? would i love it or would it feel the same just a little faster? my corrado already has full grey leather so i would need to find another with leather. thanks

lol okay youw in that one lol fatteh :D cant find where it says about older classic valuable cars been saved for parts but it was on the news the other day just for panels n doors n parts etc not engines. will try find later

oh and by the way i never said i had seen the focus RS in the scrappage scheme i said id like one
-
who ever said there scrappin all the really old classic rare cars is wrong, because i already read a govenrment thing somewhere saying that if the cars trated are particularly special and can be used to keep older marques alive for ppl who dont want to scrap theres then they will be broken for parts, obviously shitty old fiestas n things yeah bin em, it was just a question about what ppl thought about the whoel thing theres no need to flame me. My friend was just given 2k agaisnt a mk3 golf with 1 day of MOT left on it agaisnt a brand new seat ibiza. the golf was only worht a 100£ apparently ( or thats what the trade price was) so well worth the 2k if u ask me. Focus RS's are cool. open ure mind ino that lots of ppl on here obviously love there rado and it was only a question, yeah if your mr amazing mechanic then you can spend a bucket load making it schit hot cant you. just dont flame me lol =]
-
dno if the rs is sold out bt reading fords site it does say that you can use to scrappage scheme with it
-
btw just to clarify i didnt say i was gonna deffo do it i just ment i have been readin into it. dnt wanna upset ne1 haha
-
using your corrado against a new car in the scrappage scheme, i never thought about this until recently and i hate the thought of another classic been taken off the road, but tbh if its about the money then your getting 2k for a car that i personally couldnt sell for £1200. Ive been looking into the twingosport which with 2k off is only 10 grand brand new or maybe a new focus RS (obviously this is abit of a jump from the twingo) i hear that if the cars that are traded in are particularly rare they will be stripped and sold onto others for parts to keep some of the classic cars alive so not all bad? What are your thoughts?

Hi, at the moment ive got a crappy old immobiliser on my corrado, it was on it when i bought it, and its one of those that you have to stick a little plastic stick in to make it work, now as this is on its way out i.e the plastic thing is starting to play up my question is, where is the best place to get a new immobiliser and alarm? ( im in leeds ) and also will they rip out the old shitty one for me?? thanks luke.
