    Clutch Problems

I know. I'm a lazy sod. To be honest, although it is a bit annoying as it does it at the most innappropriate times, like at traffic lights when your just about to pull away. A quick flick up with the foot and it's fine again. I recently decided to do my car up as it was looking tatty. It is getting sprayed at this moment. When it's done I will be showing it off in the members gallery. At last I won't be embarrassed of my corrado!! Don't tell the girlfriend how much Im spending on it though!!

    Clutch Problems

Shame Ive just seen this post. I have had the same problem on my G60 for 6 years. I changed the slave cylinder recently and that didn't cure it. I reckon it needs a master cylinder change which is what I am going to try next. I have managed to live with mine though. Just force it out of gear, slip the foot under the pedal and lift and it springs back up. Right as rain after that, until the next time it happens. I have posted similar posts in the past on this topic. I hope you get some comfort in knowing that you are not alone! :?
  3. I'm probably going to get into trouble for creating a new topic for this but have tried searching but cannot find anything. Can someone please supply with me the green colour codes (all varieties) for the corrado. Many thanks
  4. Im certain that there is something on the back of the clocks (the mph dial) to detect speed. Im sure I have seen a diagram of it. If someone can tell me how to take the dial apart I will have a look on my old set. Hopefully then we can get to the bottom of exactly what my problem was and we might be able to help alot of other spoiler sufferers.
  5. It was on mine when I bought it. Whether it is a VW one or not I don't know. However, I imagine that it isn't as it doesn't really "look" VW, although I'm only guessing. I got AC aswell (just showing off).
  6. There are 2 LCD panels on my clocks. Does this mean that I have the electronic version (I imagine it does).
  7. Hope this post helps someone out in the future as my spoiler problem has been giving me a headache for 3 years. My spoiler stopped going up and down automatically when it reached the correct speeds (eg. 45mph ish and when the car stopped). The spoiler did however work by the manual switch situated on the dash. The spoiler was broken for 3 years as I couldn't suss out what the problem was. To fix the problem I replaced the clocks for another set I bought second hand. I believe that there is a speed sensor on the clocks which senses when to activate and de-activate the spoiler. This was obviously my particular problem. It also got my cruise control to work again. Therefore, there appears to be a number of things that can be the problem with the spoiler not functioning from what I have read on this forum. Hopefully this post will help people out in the future as a one stop place to suss out their problem. Feel free to rectify my mistakes or to add more possibilities. 1) The speed sensor on the actual clocks has gone. Replace it or the whole clocks. 2) Spoiler control unit has gone. This is situated near the fuse box and is black and the size of a cigarette box. 3) Blue wire on the back of the stereo which regulates the volume automatically when speed increases. 4) Faulty spoiler motor or spoiler mechanism.

    Throttle cable

This may or may not help anybody but, my throttle you used to stick open on a fairly high rev and I would have to put my foot under to release it. Found out after investigating that it was the grommet on the cabin end of the cable had split where the cable hooks round it. This was causing the cable to get stuck in the split causing the high revs. Being lazy, I just rotated the grommet so the cable couldn't snag anymore and, as if by magic, it stopped getting stuck. Hope it helps.

    Heater...

Just got a quote from VW for the whole modification kit £25. Whether this is the right thing or not remains to be seen. Will find out at the weekend.

    Heater...

I would be grateful for some detail on the bypass valves. I know what you are talking about and where they are etc. but:- The dealers don't seem to know what I'm talking about. I could overhear them talking to each other as to whether these valves are part of a modification that came in. So my questions are: a) Are these valves part of a modification? b) What are the part numbers? c) Can they be obtained from a cheaper source than VW? 1991 G60 by the way. Thanks for your help.
  12. Very nice. TV in your car. Now there is no need to leave the car at all. (Might want to put a toilet in there tho).

    Sunroof...

Ive got an old sunroof that you may want for parts. Would be no good as a replacement but for parts it might be handy. Won't cost you a bean but you will have to pick it up. Can't guarantee that it will be of any use to you though.
  14. Might be a stupid question this:- Anybody know if the mpg MFA reading is an accurate one or just a ball park figure? How does it calculate it?
  15. Ive got a sigma. It does close the windows but not the sunroof. However, that is correct I believe as it wasn't until the later models that the full closure (sunroof included was fitted). As its not really the alarm but the car itself that does the closure, if you know what I mean ie. can be done by using the key.
