After having my VR back on the road for a week after finally finishing work on brakes/suspension/17's/rad + pipes... The head gasket went :mad2: I have removed the head and a mechanic mate reckons it has possibly been skimmed previously and needs around 14 thou taken off this time round and looks border line whether it is possible to do. I was wondering what my options are now, have read in previous thread that a 2.8 golf head will fit ok if I can't source a C head. Does anyone know of any performance heads available? and do the tuning companies need an original head to work on or can they manufacture a new one? Who is best to contact?
