  1. HI, just a quick one... Does anyone know of any contact number for the SNS tuning guys? Only I ordered a chip a couple of weeks ago now via their website but haven't received/heard anything as yet. I have tried e-mailing them a couple of times and personal messaged the guy on here twice, but nothing. I know they are a reputable company and all but I would just like to hear something back... Any help woould be greatly appreciated, thanks

  2. Right, I've tried the ECU in my other car, and it fired up as always...!?

So I guess I can rule the ecu out... any other suggestions?

anyone know where the injector wiring connector is earthed? ... or ow would I test for power running through the connector?

    Thanks

  3. But if the ecu were at fault wouldnt that mean there would be other side effects... its just it seems everything is fine, just no fuel is getting into the combustion chamber...? I know fuel is being delivered to the fuel rail, but obviously the injectors for some reason are not injecting into the engine...

how can i test for power coming from the injector wiring connector? where is it earthed?

I do have another corrado g60 so could swap the ecu's over i guess. thanks for the help mate...:)

  4. I have now put fuel into the cylinders directly, turned over and it fired and ran for a few seconds, so is obviously a fuelling issue! maybe an earth somewhere has been burnt away through shorting out?? what are the main electrical components of the fuelling system on te g60? most likely culprit?? Thanks

  5. okay... so it was working fine the other day... came home to see a little smoke coming from under the bonnet... pulled the bonnet release which caused a spark down by fuse box, as i looked under the bonnet there was another bigger spark! i realised this was because the battery had slip forward and was touching the bonnet release end thingy...! (which explained spark from wire on bonnet release lever)... since then the car hasn't started

    I've checked all fuses... FINE

    There is a spark

Fuel pump primes and checked fuel passes through filter

blue temp sensor when unplugged changes sound of ignition, so assume is fine

there is power going to hall sender

and power going to injector rail

Would all these be fine if the ecu was affected

what could the battery have shorted out...?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as Ive spent hours on this and getting NO WHERE:(

    Thanks in advance

  6. hmmm... Best thing to do I reckon is get the car checked out by one of the pros... I bought my second g60 recently which has a big bore under it. when I bought it I thought it felt a bit sluggish compared to my other standard bore one, so took it to the phirm! He agreed, Saying it feels VERY flat, and that it must feel like a 1.4 to drive!! ... Basically, the timing on the car was well out... not enough advance, leaving me with NO power down low. Just a suggestion...?!

    Good Luck,

    Jared

  7. hmmm... seems I had it on the wrong setting or something  !! testing it today it seems to only reach 1500 max at top of third gear, which I believe is very low, however, the car still feels pretty quick even with this low boost!? I'm assuming this is down to the bigger bore of the engine compensating for the chargers lack of pressure... 50 to 70 in 5th gear seems to take 10 seconds... My other g60 was more like 6!! any one got any other figures so as to compare... or any other suggestions... Does it sound like a re-build required?? there doesnt seem to be excessive oil in the charger...! perhapse an air leak?? Cheers, Jared

  8. I've used the mfa to find out what boost pressure the g60 is producing, apparently should fluctuate between 550 and 750 on idle, and raise up to around 2000 (14.5 psi) at redline... Mine seems to fluctuate between 750 and 800 at idle, but when revved through will reach over 3400!!

I know the engine is a big bore street from big boys toys... what size exactly I'm not sure, and it seems to have a 68mm pulley, so I'd assume the chip is in place too with a kent vernier timing sprocket.

It doesnt quite feel as lively as my other chipped/pullied stock sized engine did, especially from low revs.

Hopefully someone may be able to shed some light on these figures...?!

    Thanks, jared
