  1. The Nigerian's don't take your car away, they wire you more than the agreed amount (prob something like 1100 in this case) then they ask you to wire them back the overpayment amount urgently. Then thier payment bounces but yours doesn't and they get 100 notes for nothing. Then your bank probably charge you for writing to tell you about it as well.

    Wet Carpet!

Paul, I just used standard exterior silicon sealant round the cover - not pretty but seems to work...

    Wet Carpet!

Thanks for the info Nick, was much easier to get the cover off in the daylight. Cleaned out the gunk and put on some sealant - no more leaks :D

    Wet Carpet!

I think mine is the seal around the air intake as well - but I can't get the plastic cover off  . There don't seem to be any screws on it but just some plastic lugs, can anyone tell me how to get it off??

    Wet Carpet!

I've got wet carpet as well - in the passenger side. Like BeavisJem says it looked like the water was coming up from underneath esp in the back. Then I spent a few unhappy hours taking the carpet out to dry it and then it's obvious that the water is running along the floorpan under the carpet so it looks like it could be coming up from underneath but it's actually coming from the front of the passenger side footwell...still can't tell why though  . I'd advise anybody with wet carpet to get it out asap cos on mine there was a hell of a lot more water than I thought - the soundproofing stuff just soaks it up and even though there was no smell in the car, when I took up the carpet it was minging underneath  .
  6. Yesterday a weird ticking noise started coming from the back end of my c vr6. I could hear it from inside the car when parked and ticking over - when I got out it was definately coming from around the fuel tank. Could this be the fuel pump on the way out?? I've read that the pump is inside the tank?? Does that mean I could have to get a new tank or cn it be got at fairly easily? Can anyone help - I've gotta drive home on Monday and it's 300 miles away :!:
